Someone who worked for the Reagan administration once said looking back..." We went after the White House and we thought we'd won, but they went after they schools and universities" There is far too much left wing influence in schools and media, they set up the indoctrination from an early age and then reinforce it once they're old enough to watch TV and the news. I am sometimes horrified at how PC some young people can be.

Can You Get Fly Reels Ready To Go With New Lines?
Nik_B replied to Nik_B's topic in Fresh & Salt Water Fishing
I suppose I was asking for this, I always put off buying things for myself since the wife, daughter and house eat all the cash so I need to buy the stuff on a whim so I don't think about it too much lol Also every time I look at this stuff I don't really know what I need since there are so many types of fly line. Yeh thats a great point, it's perfect to buy a whole setup that someone can recommend then you can get on with fishing and not spend too much time researching what you need. It can get crazily expensive if you get suckered in by all the shiny new stuff, I've known people t -
So, Tell Us, What Are Ye All At In The Veg Garden?
Nik_B replied to JohnGalway's topic in Living Off The Land & Game Cooking
We went out for our evening poke about in the greenhouse and just discovered 4 cucumbers hiding down the side of the pot on top of the two we are cropping tonight, last night I was just saying how the cucumbers seemed to have died down a bit The wife finally got her way and bought a spiralizer which she is going to use to make courgette noodles tonight -
So, Tell Us, What Are Ye All At In The Veg Garden?

Yes working in the garden does me the world of good, I work from home doing 12 hour shifts in front of a computer which is pretty horrible. Every time I get some time off I am out there doing something, the veg is all sorted for now so we usually go down in the afternoon to have a potter and look at how everything has grown since yesterday. My main focus at the moment is cutting back the overgrown garden but I enjoy that a lot even though it's backbreaking because I can see the improvement immediately. After our afternoon check up on the veg we wanted round the garden and talk about what we're -
The Conservative Manifesto now boasts it will make the UK the safest place to be online which means more mass surveillance and censorship. I've always thought that governments like terror attacks because they can push through more and more legislation. When we have no ability to exercise free speech or criticize those that wish to do us harm we are going to be in a very bad place.

I didn't really mean to start another 'enrichment' thread but it can't just be me that feels like things are getting crazier and crazier? It seems like there is a concerted effort to undermine anything that is normal and to actively promote anything that isn't. Every time I try and put this into words I fail lol, the description of cultural marxism definitely seemed accurate to what is happening today it's like everything is upside down. Whether or not all the wacky stuff is down to the efforts of the KGB to destabilize the west in the 60s doesn't really matter it's entirely possible 'we' have

Emperor And Brilliant Emerald Dragonfly
Nik_B replied to PINNACLE's topic in Wildlife and General Photography
Thanks Nik manual is easier than auto focus. Most dragons patrol a territory so you roughly know where they are going so I set up focus at a spot where they might come then just tweak the focus when they are in the frame. The are quite contrasty so you can tell when you have it sharp if you are quick enough. Do you use the same technique with birds? I think this might be better than relying on the autofocus which is a bit slow on my camera -
Can You Get Fly Reels Ready To Go With New Lines?

Ha ha it's not a chore I just dont have much free time since we moved house and have loads to do plus work has got very busy. I'm not bothered about fancy kit, I just want something I can slap on and get out for a fish, there are some nice lakes here but they're all overgrown and need to be fished from a boat from what I've seen, I might make a trip up to the fishery at Penmaenmawr which was good the last time I visited. John Norris has always been a good shop for me so I'll give them a ring later on -
The thing is it's not just one group of people that are the problem, it seems like where ever you look there are lots of obscure groups with different agendas trying to undermine society or what's left of it, the fire in that block of flats showed how brazen they are and feel they have the right to take to the streets using it as a political football. I really wonder if 2/3s of the population are just completely brainwashed? If any of you have time to watch the Yuri video I would be very interested to know what you think, the way he describes how to subvert a country bears a striking

Where would you go? I'm keeping my eye on Poland and Hungary, they seem to have politicians that look after their own.....but I would rather stay here, this is our country and we shouldn't have to leave it Noble sentiments chaps, I took this view, the country don't seem to give a f**k about me or itself so there was no reason to think the situation would improve for my children. I wasn't prepared to risk them. I just couldn't condem them to modern Britain, specially my end of the country. That is what sickens me, I don't care about my future, I'm 45 I've had an ok life but it a

Can You Get Fly Reels Ready To Go With New Lines?
Nik_B replied to Nik_B's topic in Fresh & Salt Water Fishing
My daughter is now 11, she has been fishing before but I feel like it's a race to get her out for a few more times before she wont want to anymore. She still holds my family record for a rainbow by the way, at 7 years old she caught what was definitely a double figure fish lol -
I'm the same I've had the opportunity to live almost anywhere in the world and could still move abroad if I wanted to but I chose this little corner of North Wales because there is no better countryside or people than the UK. I just thought it was worth sharing this guys opinion because he has a well reasoned argument and I have felt for a while that things have been going down the toilet and the future generations are not even going to know what they're missing. Watch that Yuri video when you get a chance though, I am sure you will like it

Oh yeh it's bad, we are heading for a disaster but probably not the kind that people imagine like civil war, more likely a highly authoritarian government to keep us all in check. The KGB video is what the first guy was referencing early on in the video, it's really a separate subject but it is very eye opening if you like me are wondering how the f**k we got to this point. The audience are laughing at his jokes, this was back during the Reagan era, I bet a lot of them aren't laughing now.

Can You Get Fly Reels Ready To Go With New Lines?
Nik_B posted a topic in Fresh & Salt Water Fishing
I have no time whatsoever, I am dying to get out for an hour or twos fishing but every time I think about it I remember that my real is jammed and the line is trashed. I know I can order a reel, spools, backing line and new lines and sort it myself but I was wondering if you can buy them ready to go and if anyone knows of a decent setup, maybe 3 spools with a floater, intermediate and sinker? -
Greek mate, give him a listen Here's one just for you, save it for when you have a spare hour you want to kill but this is very interesting and will blow your mind....what is going on today could be the effect of what started out as Soviet/KGB subversion going back to the 50s and 60s.

Nice, we were just talking about doing aubergines next year. We haven't started anything for autumn or winter yet so we are going to start researching what we can plant now. I took a break from Sunday to Tuesday since the weather was so nice, i worked on Wednesday and yesterday and today back at the chipper, trying to clear all this waste before I start tackling more on the Jungle -
Stunning!

Yep been their I wouldn't take a horsebox their because you will struggle to get out the roads are really twisty and hills steep been stuck there twice in different motors top surfing to be had if your brave. Also remember last year some kind of warning for dog owners about something washed up on beach, but that was last year. I have a pic of myslef at that location 20 years ago Yeh the roads were tight back then, still a cracking part of the country
