I'm glad but three things bother me. Firstly out of 700,000 guns owners only 12,000 bothered voting. I think that is pretty shoddy to be honest. Secondly the so called retraction has not been done officially by anyone from WH Smiths. Finally it's not got in to the news papers as far as I know so to the average joe the ban still exists. This needs the same publicity as the initial ban and to for it to be clear that WH Smiths were conned by anti lies.

Aye the middle east was mental and full of far eastern hookers. But its hard to be mr sensible when you spend more time away from home than at home. I used to come home and feel like a stranger in my own house, impossible to have a social life etc.

Thats exactly what ours did. The music teacher was a definate pedo as he made a pass at a couple of boys who were in the brass band.

we had an RE teacher and he was very religous You reminded me now.....lol make it three. In fact all the male teachers were wierd or bullies.

This stuff must have been so common back then. Sure we had two paedos teaching at our school In the 1980s. One music teacher for defo and a pe teacher who was seriously wierd.

It would be pointless they don't have a majority government. Lib Dems will never vote for it alone. The only hope will be if the Cons win a majority or if they can pass what they called a great repeals act which will include many other messed up laws introduced by labour. I recon the latter is likely but will have to be negotiated with the Lib Dems who aren't feeling very cooperative at the moment.

John's got a point, they have got to stop rising to the bait, I've seen a few scummy sab videos where they manage to get a rise out of huntsmen and related people. Why anyone speaks to them at all is beyond me but I can also understand how hard it must be to bite your lip.

The ban on smoking in public places, have you quit?
Nik_B replied to FERRETBOY's topic in General Talk
I put smoke less because even though I don't smoke less on an average day I sure do when I go out of the house and can't be bothered standing outside the pub or restaurant like some an outcast. Going to have another bash at the patches soon. -
It's in the Manchester Evening News as well http://menmedia.co.uk/manchestereveningnews/news/s/1593632_sick-butcher-thieves-cut-legs-off-10-live-sheep-on-farm-in-cheadle-hulme I don't read the DM it's a pile of steaming shyte. I also found it hard to believe how you could do something like that without killing it first but that's what is being reported. Maybe they'd tried to slit the throats and they were still partly alive or something. Still must be gutting finding your livestock like that and it's happened 4 times. I was driving to the gunshop yesterday and saw a woman having he

I can't even imagine what kind of sick freak would do something like this...just down the road to us. http://www.dailymail.co.uk/news/article-2232698/Thieves-butcher-pregnant-sheep-alive-Cheadle-Hulme-farm-raids.html

Worked overseas for 12 years. Trips were 4 to 8 weeks. Its murder especially if u have kids and it plays havok with a marrage.

agree but she's only 6 and parents aren't invited...it's just something they do each Friday. She just wants to show her friends the feathers but I can guarantee the teacher will say "oh where did you get those?" and when she tells them are they going to be normal about it or will they get embarrassed and try and change the subject...

The wife keeps banging on about Skirlie but proper oatmeal is as rare as rocking horse shite down here and live yet to try it.. Going to try the health food shops next time I'm in town, tried everywhere else.. I love Skirlie
-
Exactly... The problem is I never suggested to her to do it. She came up with the idea herself. I cant really tell her no because that would make me a total hypocrite.

Just dropped it off at the gunsmiths he's going to glue it and do his best to hide it. A replacement forend in grade 5 is 250 quid and I'd have to send mine away so they can match the wood. This is what happens when you get seduced by nice wood and shiny things!!

I love cooking Been a bit lazy recently but especially as we get in to autumn I like making stews etc I don't them in bulk and freeze them down but our bloody freezer has broken so we've only got the crappy little one under the fridge. Definitely doing a big game pie this year

I'm glad. If we'd got rid of him there would be people saying that our laws work when they bloody don't! Time to make a serious change to our relationship with europe, then we can kick Abu and his mates out of the UK without asking permission.

Just a quick question Does anyone think it is dangerous to shoot with it again before I get it repaired/replaced? Might have the chance at a days shooting next wednesday and I don't want to miss out. Edit:Never mind...I'll just take it down the gunsmiths and see what they can do.

My mum was a biology teacher, a few years before she retired she remembers very well being strong armed in to stopping dissection in classes...not just by parents but by other teachers!!! I have some interesting memories of finding bulls eyes and rats in the freezer at home while looking for food ;D One of the funniest stories I ever heard was when my mum took some frozen rats down to the home economics room and used the microwave to defrost them because she's forgotten to earlier. When the time came to dissect them there was a foul smell as they discovered mum had cooked them a bit

Yeh this is probably the right way to go. She just likes the feathers but I'd be surprised if she doesn't mention that I shot them, she's a very carniverous child and also a very practical one who isn't squeemish. I might make sure she doesn't focus too much on the shooting part and say something like these are the feathers we plucked off our Xmas dinner
