Without the guys like the OP they'd have no chance
-
I worked with an ex-Marine who was posted there, the IRA used similar tactics to other insurgents, they sent the kids to throw rocks at the soldiers until they popped their heads up to tell them off and a sniper would be waiting to blow their heads off.

after reading this just a thought i had Maybe those whove learnt from their mistakes know the outcome if they fail again and that spurs them on to never make that same mistake again Yep, I made a million mistakes, went to a crap school. I failed my GCSES, drugs were rife in school and where I lived (including heroine) and there was a bad recession in the 80s. It was a miracle I ended up with a degree and proper job Partly luck but also I made my own luck but then those kids are no different, good on them for trying and especially good on the OP and others for hiring them...

I tried champix this year, after 3 months of no cigarettes my lungs felt 100x worse than when I was smoking....scarey stuff I wouldnt recommend champix its nasty stuff and sends people loopy I've heard before asthmatics don't get on with vaping... Mate with the snuff tried champix said that it was the worst experience of his life. A lot of people say that....I'm not going to be specific but I will agree with your mate. The NHS s

With the ridiculous high standards being demanded of our military maybe these would be war crimes as well...after all they had the guys trapped ina ditch. Maybe they could have got an interpreter to get him to surrender The second video is of Danish troops flanking a taliban position, they also finish them off and almost were prosecuted for what was a well executed attack. I think we should allow the military to make decisions they see fit given the situation they find themselves in at the time and not through 20/20 hindsight. Most of us cannot imagine the effect of the adrenaline alone which

I agree I meant the way our media reported conflicts, they don't show reality especially during the two Iraq wars, it was just video footage from jets flying at 20,000ft and precision missiles and almost looked like a computer game. No doubt that was deliberate, they wouldn't want a public backlash like what happened in Vietnam to stop their constant wars everywhere. Nowadays with websites like Liveleak non military people can see just how horrendous it is, especially with the amount of video footage from Ukraine and Syria. Maybe our MPs would do well to watch it before voting on more wars

No way! I went to work, got paid and went home.

I've read several accounts that say during some of the major assaults in the falklands war Argentinian solders were shot even though they tried to surrender, the Army/Marines couldn't have taken them captive even if they'd wanted to. I bet that kind of stuff has happened loads. I remember reading about a bayonet charge in the Iraq war, I couldn't believe what I was reading even though I've spent my entire life researching WW2 and other wars. I naively thought stuff like that was ancient history...I guess that's thanks to the sanitized media reporting. We just don't know what kind of s

I might have the wrong case but I think the laptop it was on got in to the police hands through something totally unrelated and of course they had to have a nosey around...

It's a good point nik ...so do the benifits of destressing with your chosen poison out way the harm? ...I think like most of life it all comes down to balance. ...do anything to much and your wheels are going to fall of I think that many people who smoke and drink too much are trying to balance 'life' in reality they're just trying to cope. I was one of them, the idiots that pay for everything and end up dying early. My main philosophy in life now is to to pay almost no tax regardless of if I have to turn down work. If more people do this the retards in power will realise who they

Is there something bad about beet pulp? I thought cereals were the major problem in most dog food? I had my lab on raw minced chicken carcasses and he did great and looked brilliant, added bonus = tiny sh*ts! Since I moved I was feeding him Iams which is ridiculously expensive, I just got the no grainer to try out but I might go for a cheaper option and then try and find a good source of rabbits to mince

Stress is a major killer as well but they don't bang on about it because that would mean telling millions of tax payers to take it easy and work less.
