  1. She looks a nice bitch. Think the dam to mine was called jet. As you say good to have around very rarely did I have him on a lead . Hancock told me stormin Norman was throwing good fox dogs at the time so I took a chance . As I said earlier I’m picking a 3/4 gh 1/4 bull up next weekend so be interesting to see how she matures. I ll have another collie cross in the future maybe put one across my lads whippet . All the best
  2. I had one off him many years ago. Sire was Stormin Norman a half cross over a greyhound Bitch . Beautiful athletic muscular dog 27 tts. Great feet ,retrieve to hand ,would jump ,ferret , great with stock but would not enetertain Charlie . At 2 years old after I don t know how many attempts we called in a little vixen on the lamp to within about 20 yards away. He pulled into his lead and I let him go. He sprinted up to her slammed the anchors on and bayed like a terrier. I gave him to a chap who worked him on deer and kept him till he retired. Shame really I liked the dog . Saying that I ve see
  3. Thanks .There’s no rush with her .
  4. Picking up a 3/4 gh 1/4 bull pup off a mate in a week s time. Always kept dogs with a lot more bull in them so be interested to see how she turns out .
  5. I realise that mate was just trying to put across to him don t get to hung up about the size of a dog
  6. Within reason if a dog wants to get it ll get. A determined dog will push really tight then others will dig and pull back and u might have to drop in and open up for them . I had a small bitch that punched well above her weight and was nt shy of mixing but worked till retirement so don t think a smaller dog will get pushed about .
  7. Know exactly where you re coming from . I ve had a chap take a phone call years back as a fox was being squeaked . Sitting in my house for an hour before we go having a cuppa and a chat then pulling up at the permission to be told they have to get changed and slam every door getting stuff out the motor. Then constantly shouting at the dog for pulling on the lead. Just me and my lad now , better off on ur own mate.
  8. Looks as though it had enjoyed itself. ?
  9. Mate of mine has a half cross . Really steady . Uses him for beating , picking up ,out with Terriers and on the lamp. I think if the ACD was nt so hard to get hold of it would be a more popular cross .
  10. Try her mate. It’s the only way to find out.
  11. Thanks Trev. It’s not something I d normally take out but my lad thinks the world of her and she keeps surprising me for her size.
  12. She s about 10 mnths old .. Don t remember the lads name to be honest.
  13. Is this something you have experienced yourself
  14. I fetched her at 8 weeks old. Pretty sure it was Wakefield area
  15. So in a litter of generation bred bull greyhounds you could pick a pup knowing what size shape it will make as an adult dog
  16. It’s just a different way of writing a fraction with a denominator of a hundred . Does nt have to be 100%
  17. I would never have considered kennelling a whippet after having heavy dogs for years. But my lad pestered for one and I eventually got her. It’s like taking my Terriers out but not having the worry of em going to ground. Easy to introduce to the ferrets great with stock and very intelligent bitch. Her downfall will be her speed but fingers crossed she ll steady up
  18. None mate. She looks bigger than she is.She s about 19 - 20 tts
  19. My lads bitch. She s a pleasure to have around and started catching rabbits at an early age. Great nose and flies into cover. Great fun
