  1. I've noticed there's quite a lot of people saying they're now lamping, both in threads and on their status etc. Where I am 10 minutes after it's been raining the ground is bone dry again, the ground seems way too hard to be running dogs on yet? and isn't it a bit warm aswell?
  2. I like the new one....but I keep clicking report instead of reply cos that's where the old reply button was, doh! and I can't attach pics, how do you do it?
  3. Biggest issue with running a lurcher alongside the bike to get her fit.............I'm fecked and she isn't!!!!! :-D

I suppose it'd be a bit worrying if it was the other way round wouldn't it! I used to run my old mongrel next to my bike when I was young but he hated it and a couple of times ran back home....she loves it though, I'm sure she'd run all day if I had the stamina to match!

  4. very nice mate Thanks but I can't take the credit for the dog, it is a hunting dog from Australia. I think it's interesting the dogs they chose to hunt pig with. http://huntingpigdog.com/ My bitch is 1/2 grey,1/4whippet,1/4ebt so I am bias. there are some f'ckin monster dogs on that website! fair play to the aussies!
  5. she's ready to have a go,, ???...........physically she's not mature enough to have a go yet. if she's mentally mature enough ,she will be physically mature enough , when she can arouse that sort of drive in herself she's genetically programmed to make contact with the fox, and when she makes contact she will be just functioning on instinct, that is, the knowledge to kill is in her very pores, she already knows what to do, as skycat has already mentioned that ability to kill in the right breeding is preprogrammed, there is no thinking involved, drive has its own intelligence, the body
  6. Happy days!..............I had a similar situation bud, in hindsight it's so obvious that you should have kicked them into touch but it's not that easy at the time is it! Took me about 2 or 3 years to boot mine but I did in the end and even though she took all my money I've got a crackin mrs now, little baba and a happy life. Some women should be hearded up and stuck on an island surrounded by sharks so all they can do is peck each others heads!

  8. yes that's what I'm going to do next summer, I want to get a season of rabbiting under her belt before having a go on foxes.
  9. it won't be hard for her to retrieve a ded fox legaley shot with a firearm when the time comes as the law states ; ) sigh!!! can't Alan do another update and introduce a pillock filter?

  11. nice pics.....love the one where they're all piling in on that rabbit.
  12. I guess my only problem now then is trying to avoid coming across one until she's ready to have a go, easier said than done.
  13. My wheaten/whippet/grey x bull/grey pup is just over 13 months old so apart from a couple of rabbits over the summer hasn't done much yet. I mainly got her for rabbits and plan on moving up to other prey as we go along, being my first lurcher it's a learning curve for both of us. Apart from a couple of little issues e.g. her not following rabbits into cover I spoke about last week (if it is even an issue) she's bang on with her prey drive on rabbits in the open and through less dense cover so I'm more that happy with that. I've been chatting with a couple of people about the best ways of
  14. you should stop taking the piss out of veedublee for that.......it's nothing for him to be ashamed about, it's a known fact that mongs are physically stronger than normal people, he was bound to get his arse kicked!
  15. sod rabbiting, you should go hunting for lost collars in warrens, you could make a fortune! all mine fetch is hammers and screwdrivers, my tools appeared to be dwindling over time and a couple of weeks ago I moved my hutch to clean the yard and there were half a dozen screwdrivers and a hammer underneath where my jill had stashed them Poor things trying to tell you that the shitty hutch needs fixing....................f*****g DIY ferrets............. quite good exercise for them. Put a hammer on one side of the yard and watch skinny little jill drag it all the way back.....doesn
  16. alright bud,the dam was a small pure working collie, and the sire was a 28" deerhond greyhound x bull whippet greyhound. That's got to be rape surely!!! Nice pup mate
  17. just leave a few little brollies near to each exit so they can grab one as they run past seriously though, I've never found either wind or rain to be a problem, the only problem I've found with wind is the ball ache of it blowing the nets about sometimes but even that's not that bigger deal. If anything I prefer ferreting in the rain because there's less people about to mither you.
  18. I have this amusing image of a farmer giving someone permission to hunt rabbits on his land, and the following week that person turning up in a van and letting a shit load of rabbits go on his land Brilliant! I would hazard a guess the farmer wouldn't be hugely impressed. Even if it is a field he doesn't use for anything, do you think the rabbits are just going to sit in that field and not go beyond the hedge???

  20. Can't believe this is still going on....ferret100, do you just make 'facts' up or what? polecats crush animals skulls and hide then paralysed until later, what utter shite!!!!!!! Not only do you spout bollocks about keeping ferrets, you spout bollocks about alsorts! Do yourself a favour and try and keep yourself to yourself, if I'm honest it's a little embarrassing.
  21. without a doubt....i was going to slag off the knob that started it then i realised it was me when i was rat arsed last night!
  22. don't be ridiculous! It's got to be raspberry surely????
