regardless of what you'd do to get the dog off your dog, and whether you'd take a bite etc. these sort of attacks usually happen so quickly there's not a lot you can do til it's too late, and with a dog like that it wouldn't take many seconds to do some pretty major damage.

If you ask me she did well to get the pup away from the situation without it getting killed! You can't come to a conclusion that she was careless just from a post on here (especially not one of Ethyls!!! ), you don't know the whole story, you don't know how quickly it happened or exactly how she coped or reacted to this situation, I personally think you're out of order.

have you seen the size of them feckin things, unless she's 7 foot tall it'd still get at it but there would be a good chance of her getting injured aswell. How do you socialise your dogs if you avoid places where other dogs might be?

It's not molly coddling. She didn't necessarily mess up. Some people are careless with pups, but not everyone who has their dog or pup attacked by someone elses unruly dog is being careless! If someone is letting a dog like that freely attack a pup then the only way you could 100% avoid the situation is by never taking the pup out of the house, and that's obviously not an option. I just think it's a bit lame to put something like that when she's obviously had a very nasty experience at the hands of some dick, one in which she's been lucky to not have a dead pup on her hands!

when you read things like this you can see why certain breeds are banned really can't you, can you imagine these dicks walking the streets letting pitbulls or dogos attack other peoples dogs!!!

It is quite a common thing for stupid owners to not even attempt to control their dogs, never mind try and be unable to. When I lived with my parents I had a spaniel cross and a bloke down the road have a very aggressive GSD. And what did he do to control his dog, he walked it round the streets off it's lead!!!! It was fine when nothing was around but if another dog came round the corner it would attack. On numerous occassions I'd be walking to put my dog in the boot of my dads car and he would be walking past and it would knock the shit out of my dog on our drive, I'd have a go at him for

and just a quick point to those who are saying she should go out and get a bull cross to sort it out.....apart from the fact you're embarrassing yourselves and you're no better than this bloke, you've clearly not seen many Akitas or are very naive if you think a bull cross is just going to go in and do the business, there isn't many dogs that are going to get one over one of these things!

It's a Japanese fighting dog, they look similar(ish) to huskies but all the ones I've ever seen have been iffy around other dogs to say the least. The problem with Akitas is the fact if you don't know anything about them and you saw one coming you wouldn't necessarily think it was too much of a problem until it's too late because they don't look 'hard' like some breeds you'd be a bit wary of, they just look like big fluffy bears, they've got a proper temper though, and are usually either very dominant with other dogs, very aggressive, or both....and they are bloody big, strong and fast dogs.

Yes Mal thats what happened.........one of the lads phoned the boys brother 7 times to tell him what was going on,why the feck didn't he phone the police. That's just feckin ridiculous!!! I just assumed it was revenge on a dealer or something, for it to have been a prank but beggers belief!!!! utterly bizarre!!!! The victim knew every one involved bar one and 4/5 them are from the same village as him........a few of them even recorded the incident on there phones,now thats feckin sick! It might sound like something an old codger might say but some kids these days seriously don't

Just a general observation on the couple of people on this thread who seem to have done an awful lot of research on hiding their tracks on the internet.........if an authority was looking in on this, wouldn't you have just arroused their suspicions straight away by telling the world how much you know on the subject??? and secondly, what the on earth have you got on your PC that makes you so determined to hide your tracks? dodgy feckers!

Man it must be nice for them to have that much time on their hands to drive around an MP in a expensive un-economical motor (paid for by who?) posing for pictures 'SPECIAL C@NT-STABLES'. How very noble of them to do this for free. They should be commended, I know lets just put their pictures in the local rag, inflate their ego's a bit and make the local MP look like he's doing his bit so he can claim his travel expenses and feel important too...... Then tell the 'little people' i.e. the glue that holds this society together, what they can and cannot do to put food on the table. So what we end
