  1. mine get frozen bones which melt as they chew and they get frozen rabs through summer they chew it down before they swallow anyway we eat ice pops and such like but dont cause any probs so i expect they are the same
  2. unless you are needing to do the rabbits to keep some permision i would call it a day for this season and start again after summer by then the dog will be raring to go
  3. fair do then but dont be fooled by minshaw, if it was a good one it would not be up for sale
  4. most people with respect for there game stop hunting at this time of year ,and be carefull with buying in dogs claimed to be minshaw as by now most dogs will have so little minshaw blood its not worth mentioning it only gets a mention to help sell dogs or pups unless you go to the genuine lads who have kept breeding the same lines
  5. if your dog and your mates dog do the buisiness and have both got all the qualities you are wanting your pup to have go ahead and line it,it is ok to do this kind of mating but not over and over again.
  6. makes no difference to me ive seen good and bad in both sexes.dog suits me better as in a litter the boys should be and usually are stronger and they do not come into season in mid winter when you want to run them, they do piss on every blade of grass and your car which is annoying lol
  7. are they any good and how many shots in the magazine? has anyone the kit up for sale?thanks
  8. are they any good and how many shots in the magazine? has anyone the kit up for sale?thanks
  9. a hare is harder if your dog hasnt got the speed it will struggle.and all this shite that any dog can catch a hare in the lamp, well all i can say to that is the bloke who says it has not done much lamping
  10. Its not neccessarily the breed itself wherein the problem lies but the type of person it attracts,it suffers more than any other type of lurcher with the numptys that are more interested in the mutt as a status symbol than a working dog. True true I've seen some dicks at shows with them giving the rest a bad name :-/ a bull greyhound is a cross u either love or hate, depends what u want to do with them i suppose,im not a fan of them tbh because i like more of a alrounder but crossed to another lurcher (collie grey etc) can make cracking dogs imo
  11. That 30 sec dog in my profile pic is long gone and had seen more work than I care to think of u little slag rat people on here like to slate people when most of them will own dogs that will or have been in the same situations think it makes them look as thought they know everything but really just makes them look like clever twats. if a dog is being wound up it will snap
  12. mate a working dog gets knocks like this regular its part of the game, keep a eye on it and keep on the lead until its heeled up.if you are bothered about it go the vets
  13. Sorry mate, didn't know it was yours. If a dog has that much shit in the run it tells me it seldom gets taken out. Most dogs [including 7 month old pups] I've had over the years get into a routine and get used to emptying out when they're walked and only shit in the run as a last resort. As for saying if it's fed on dry it can produce that much shite overnight, never have I had a dog produce as much as that in a day never mind overnight. You are right though when you say a run is to shit in but feck me that's overkill and to stand there and take a pic instead of walking the dog
  14. my scope seems to have dust on the inner front lense, its been mine from new and has never been took to pieses but it did appear slack so ive tightened it up but the dirt is annoying me,will i ruin them if i screw the end off and clean the inside?
  15. what the f**k are you lot on? a run is to shit in,if fed on dry food a run can have no shit at night and full of it in the morning and if it was not looked after it would be in a worse state than that.
  16. ive poached most times ive been lamping but this year is the only year ive ever been stopped and about 6 times so decided to get some permission just for a excuse mainly still poach but if caught on way home ive got a place to say ive been.as for the poachers with no respect for land or quarry well its these idiots who has got it on top imo.
  17. this season is f****d ive done nothing much since xmas and went ferreting sat and there was young so i wont be back out until september give things a chance to build back up and the ground is way to hard
  18. it would help if you mentioned what sort of ground/terrain you will be working your dog on. should give people more idea of a dog to suit you. beddy x greyhound or with collie in aswell
  19. WHAT A HOOLIGAN! ANYTHING ELSE YOU WOULD LIKE TO ADD TO THE LIST.LOL
  20. imo walking is better there is nothing in the fields next to the roads so go a few fields back and you get a run or two, only go driving the roads if we are going for the reduns ALL WITHIN THE LAW OF COURSE
  21. WHO THE f**k IS BOTHERED WHERE THE RABBITS ARE EASY OR HARD OR WHAT CROSS YOU HAVE IT BAFFLES ME ALL THE JELOUSY IF YOU ARE HAPPY WITH YOUR DOG AND WHAT YOU GET THATS THE MAIN THING.IF NOT PUT THE MILES IN AND FIND BETTER PLACES THEY DONT COME LOOKING FOR YOU.IGOT A BULL X GOT 27 ON FLAT FIELDS AND ITS THE MOST IVE SEEN ANY DOG CATCH ON THAT PARTICULAR GROUND AND IVE BEEN IN THEM FIELDS A FEW TIMES WITH SOME LADS OFF HERE MINSHAW X, COLLIE X, SALUKI X,AND BULL X BUT DOES NOT MEAN MINE IS BETTER?NO.DIFFERENCE OF NIGHT, NO NIGHT LAMPING IS EVER THE SAME AS ANOTHER
  22. you connect it to your drainage from your house had soak aways head ache the best thing i did was put drains in every thing goes down including small amouts of wood shaving. atb sp got one on going built 10ft x 14ft block 8x10 shed at back with hole into a small box in shed 6x10 run at front with galv 1.5m gate and 1m pannel at front inbetween front pillars.door into shed at side and window looking into run, roof over the whole lot well thats how it will be when finished ive got blocks up and roof ready to put sheeting on waiting for the better weather
