  3. I hope so,after the op vet said leg seemed slightly bent but when I picked him up yesterday he seemed much more happy with it

Just wondering if anyone has any experience with their lurcher breaking the front leg and if they were ever able to run again,my dog has broken both his bones 3 inch below his elbow joint he has had the big bone plated and small bone set in place,he is 3 year old just turned so not really old to heal up.any advice please. Thanks
  5. i have a 1/8 collie 1/8 saluki 1/4 bull 1/2 grey dog 28" 72lb very leggy he is a excellent lamp dog,single on everything retrieves.his main game is reynard he seems to want them more than anything
  6. They are a better lithium as well.I have a 14 ah deben lithium,just use that off van so I have a lamp to jump out with as well but they are good.fit in your pocket easier than a deben 14
  7. I bought a 9ah last year,it was 63.99 then and it charges in a few hour and with a 100w bulb it clamped 3 to 4 hours on back of van.the 6ah were 60 pounds at that time so have gone down in price but I've never seen 9ah on eBay since I got mine

  9. Be no lamping till your dogs come right.. Surely you knew the ground was like iron before you headed out.. Should respect your dogs more.. You could of waited a few more weeks till its rains, now you could be laided of 8 weeks perhaps more..   10. Took 2 of my dogs out First night and both snapped a ligament on front toe.is it just bad luck or is it the hard ground.no more lamping until we get some rain to soften this ground for me.what is everyone else doing and is anyone else having these problems
  11. I have a pup here,bought it as a litter from 2 supposedly excellent Fox dogs it's a beardie grey x staf grey X Irish staf x grey.anyone heard of this kind of cross? He is only 23" and really racy.coming on well at 11 month listens well and starting to jump better.
  12. 3 of my lurchers are good with small dogs but my other I cannot let off near any dog at all she is a little Twat will just fly into anything it's a nuisance so is kept on lead at all times.she is only a small skinny bitch 22" saluki whippet bull hound and is 14 month.she is showing very good promice as a working dog though
  13. I've got a dog here bred myself sire was 26" dam 25" and my dog is 28.5" he is short coupled and 90lb weight he can turn on a sixpence and is no slouch.I have seen small dogs that can't turn and big dogs that can and vice versa.size means nothing imo
  14. Has anyone ever had a lurcher stub it's toe and the bit the nail grows from be rock hard and swollen? It's been like this since October time.had him vets and they said it will stay like this.it don't bother him at all but just wondering if it will cause probs later on.

  17. I have a bull x here collie bull saluki bull greyhound he is the most laid back harmless dog I've ever seen.also most bull x dogs I've seen are placid and well mannered

Hi I'm having problems with knocking on my collar transmitter it won't turn on by the magnet or the receiver only way I've found is take it off the collar and turn it quarter turn then tighten again and it comes on.does anyone know what the problem could be?? I bought it unused but not off a shop so can't send back and I've used it on 2 outings.thanks
  19. A dog that's doing it's job is easy worth that money.buying a pup,inocs and feed up to 12 month old will cost that alone and there is no guarentee it will do job so to me it's worth it

  23. Ye well last year I think I used to lamp rabbits for 2 hours on foot before I did the route bk home I did lastnight and I never had it on red.just wondering how everyone else's 14s perform.some nights it seems to die quick and others it lasts
  24. I have one of these batteries and it seems to be running flat quicker than it did,its still in warranty atm so does anyone think its faulty if so I will send it back.I lamped for 3 hours with a 100w bulb and it died on me.it was driving along lamping off the road so was on a fair bit.thanks
