  2. really like this cross going to put my saluki bull grey over one when it breaks in a few month should make decent pups hopefully
  3. got one here does well as a alrounder day/night saluki bull grey 26tts racey type
  4. ther,s allways bin foxs, were it 2 year ago or 20,,iff owt more big guns now than ever bin,,so i wud not say fox his down to the rabbs decrease,,,the foxs get some stick of these big guns big time,, Would reply to that comment but havent got a flying 5uck what you are on about sorry mate ! i would say there were more foxes were kicking about in the early days of lamping as hardly any old dog men bothered with them and no one really had guns so i very much doubt its anything to do with foxes
  5. yes we all know it can be done but maybe not ideal for a first lurcher
  6. this dog could cause u alot of problems and get u in to alot of trouble stay away best advise i can give,a dog that has not been trained properly will sicken you as a first dog
  7. i kind of thought that too mate but im dead keen to get out, ive been researching for two years now and have the kennel nearly completed, books to re-read again and dvds in the post, which has me itching to go! i dont know anybody who goes out either to keep me happy (and fed)! im not looking a world beater either just something i can take all quarry with on a fairly regular basis me myself i would get a pup and learn it everything you want from now until next season that will keep u busy get the pup how you want it and then bring it on september time, this way you are not buying other peopl
  8. if you have seen what parents do mate its entirely up to you never mind the anything less than 3/8 or 1/2 shite go with what you have seen work its better than traveling 100+miles for a pup out of dogs you know naff all about and the breeder filling you full of shite when in most cases the dogs have don fook all.
  9. no collie in mine and it picks runs on rabbits its saluki whip grey x bull grey mine is to smart she is that smart she wont be going again unless my other is laid up
  10. when its water'ed down like that like that with 3 breeds in the mix, you might not get the true temp of the bull coming through (tenacity, guts,) full on , and thats what you want from the bull in the 1st place.! A 1/4 bull to 3/4 grey are good dogs, because you just 2 breeds, and you still can get the temp of some of the bull. But the way i see it if you going to stick it in put in the mix ( 3/8 or 1/2 ) and you know you will get the benefit of the bull . ohh so true alb bunnys get a dog thats been bred for years off proven stock thats the way

  12. my dog is same but with rabbits she will try her hardest and run the beam on everything else though its pissed me off that much i am going to stop taking her,she will pick her runs on them and most times they can be caught.was out with my other dog last night and he is totally mental he gets a lot more catches on the rabbits so i just take him in the future.with hares they dont get in cover like a rabbit so they should not pick there runs imo so she is maybe over classed by them
  13. they would not be my ideal cross but i know some lads have had decent racy ones but most you see are too heavy and no good for anything.you have to remember no good being hard as f**k and not being able to catch anything ,ideally a 3/4grey 1/4bull from proven lines will be hard to beat imo
  14. coli bull grey will do the job mate coli grey beddi grey would be good
  15. this cross is good if you want a decent alrounder or a saluki bull greyhound if you are after something just for edible game i would keep away from bull
  16. should make crackers them will have everything you need for a good hardy lurcher capable of allsorts of work
  17. f*****g hell its the fastest lurcher on the planet. lol do you notg mean 42 kph??
  18. :icon_eek: :icon_eek: :icon_eek: :icon_eek: jesus f*ck, thats a new one ! well dont know about your dogs but if i threw a dummy for mine full of pins or barbed wire i doubt it would go for it again unless they were totally thick lol, if he just gives the catch to dogs and ferrets it does not matter.i heard of someone with a dummy with cocktail sticks in to train a retriever but i wouldnt do it
  19. ive brought on 2 pups one i rushed and started at 8 month it done ok but i got shot of this dog as it did not retrieve. next dog did not see the lamp or a rabbit until 14month old he caught 4/5 rabbits first outing and has never really missed much since + he is good recall obedient and retrieves this is because instead of rushing to get him out killing i let him grow up and mature and in this time i taught him all the basics which i has payed off.in my case live and learn and i know for sure the next pup i bring on will not be going out until at least 12month.you have a long time with the dog
  20. mine get there first jabs then i dont bother. i heard once they have been done they are covered
  21. muhahahahahaaha £180.00?????????? you dont even no the proper breed of the dog,and your wanting stupid money for it?? might have a bit of this and a bit of that in it?? get a grip.........and if no one cant see collie in that dog ?? you need your eyes tested.22 inch bed x whippet?????? that dogs just working on its own instinct, thats why she aint retreiving properly, because no one has put the effort in to get the end result,to class the dog as a retreiver... this guy just aint happy with the way the dog performs and has seen enough,so up for sale she goes...... MUGS AWAY......................
