    thanks bud......that's one thing i do,try to do...but it's the disappointment i get, that it came out blurred that gets to me.....never to get that same shot again..... .....i took a pic of a bear the other day, which had just got out of the river, it was shaking it's self off of the water, i took some pics but every one was blurred because it was moving and birds in flight does the same thing. do i need a better camera for these types of pics i'm after or is my camera suitable with me playing around with the settings...(canon powershot 400is, we also have a canon powershot s2 is)

    thanks for sharing such brilliant pics guys, and thanks for the camera info....... do you guys take a series of shots to get that perfect pic, or is it a one shot perfect..... my camera is a canon powershot 400is, a point and shoot camera really, how do i get the best pics from it, or is it a case of keeping it on auto?     i must say, these pics on here are top quality, thanks for sharing them, i was thinking........just an idea, we could put the make/model of the camera you took the pic with, in the description, to give people like me and others, a better idea of whats achievable....

    hi bud, if your going to use a baitrunner, 3000-5000 models will be ok, you don't need a big line capacity reel, as you won't be casting out dead bait, loads of yards, i would have thought the 3000-4000 models, could hold 150-180 yards of 12lb line, that would be enough for your needs, i use to make my own traces, the initial lay out is more, but saves in the long run.....my traces were 20-25lb with size 8-6 trebles, the ones for dead bait were 10-12 inches long, and the spinner ones were 6-8 inches, the reason for this is, when you are dead baiting, your leaving the bait for a longer t

    hi bud, there's a few ways to fish for pike, spinner/lure or live/dead bait, in which case i've always had a few rods for each, i have a 10ft telescopic spinning rod for the spin/lure fishing and a carp rod for live/dead bait fishing, in the past i haven't been a fan of the telescopic rods, but i found a rod made by diawa, and it's been a really good rod, i'm not too sure of the make of the carp rod, it but i think it's a 2 1/2- 2 7/5 test curve, the reason for a few rods are the length of the rod butts, the spinning rod butt is a lot shorter making it easier to cast spinners/lures, where as (

    went for a walk today at the local river (lovely time of year), there were still some salmon making there way up river making it easier pickings for the bears, the pictures of the bears came out a bit blurred for some reason which i don't know why......but hay-ho.....the pic with the salmon on the screen is from a camera in a salmon ladder, i think it keeps a check on quantities by counting them for future stocks....

    yeh...it's been a while mac, life's all good here bud, i did get to, within 30ft off them raccoons, mother and two youngsters, the mum was a bit edgy me being there, but she eventually coaxed them down and off they went, yep...still in BC bud,

    it's going good thanks bud, i'm finding the differences from the uk ok now, i tend to not think about the differences anymore, settled in and getting the hang off it out here, finding the right terminology is the key.....lol
