  5. yes Mack, they are big birds bud, they can weigh up to 6.3 kgs, (13.9lb) with a wingspan up to 2.3m (7.5ft), we saw 3 yesterday, magnificent birds, yes bud, we are on Vancouver island, mid way inland, snow on the mountains now, so it's getting close, we had a skunk around the house when we was in Calgary, it lived under next doors shed, it use to run around the cul-de-sac at night, mind you...there were a lot of road killed ones, we have rabbit road kill, they have skunk......

  7. took these today, the hummingbird from the garden (beautiful little birds) if you don't see them, you can sure hear them...sound like a bumble bee, and a bald eagle from the inlet....

  9. nice looking truck that..... Richard Hammond test drove the AMG version on top gear...i think he said it was a very good motor....v8 5.5 twin turbo... id love to roll up to a driven day in that,get the ole boys jabbering it certainly would my friend....

No mate,tills area has the highest density of cougar in Canada,and the highest number of black bear in an a province,this province has the second highest number of black bear,when we were picked up at the airport there was two white tailed deer feeding on the roadside on the short drive home,seen mainly waterfowl since I have been here,lots of geese and duck,and seen quite a few whitetail in the city and the outskirts,saw one yesterday grazing near some houses.Tilly,got a month here,got here last Monday,Christmassy family stuff,got some mates from Sunderland "the cod squad" going near you next

  17. iv'e watched a few shows on it bud, i didn't know there was so much to it, before i watched them, i thought you just heated the metal up...shaped it.....then quenched it....job done ....but now i can see what's involved, it's been quite interesting....

  19. normally the thermostat housing is at the end of the top hose off of the radiator to the engine, look for a domed shape case with three-four bolts holding it to the block.....

  21. iv'e been waiting a bit of time to get a pic or two of these seals, they never seem to stay up on the surface long enough to get that shot..... then, today there was four of the buggers, which finally posed for the camera...... we have settled in quite well thanks bud, we will probably end up moving up island in time, or, even on the mainland further up towards the Yukon, but who knows where we will end up....life's just one big adventure mate....
  22. new Nike rechargeable trainers have gone on sale this week in the USA....they have self tightening laces that adjust to your foot when your heel pushes the sensor pad inside the trainer, they only cost $750..... ......and, you can go up to 2 weeks between charges..... what ever next........ anyone fancy get a pair when they hit the UK........
