cheers mac, we really enjoy waiting and watching the run but not so many this year, your mates looked like they have done well....did you see any news about a couple of men caught a 300lb sturgeon then bundled it in the back of there truck to sell the caviar and the fish for meat from the Fraser river yesterday.....they were filmed by another fisherman who called the cops but they had gone by the time they got there 15 mins later, so the cops went back that evening to check, and guess what......the two blokes had only gone back that evening, the cops nabbed them and they are looking at jail ti

i know what you mean bob....last year there was loads more than this year but i think that is down to the lack of rain here this year, the river is so low, the biggest caught this year was 36lb last year it was 52lb i'm off fishing in nov-dec for the steelheads, lets hope there's a few big ones around.....

your right there....my fathering law use to build top fuel dragster engines....the fuel lines were 2 inches round and it used 18 gallons of fuel running a quarter of a mile at 7000+ hp back then, now...i think they are 10,000+ hp.....

your not wrong there bud...the v8's sound gorgeous....this one sounded nice it's an 08 dodge ram SRT 10....viper v10 engine which does 172mph....this was at a local car show last weekend...

every year where we are they hold a street drag racing event like (street outlaws) they close one of the main streets for it to run, there's road going cars up to the pro's... iv'e taken lots of pics.....i really like the big v8 engines, also the sound and power of them....the red corvette is driven by a paraplegic guy.....he steers it with a butterfly steering wheel in his right hand, they strap his legs in, and he has a pressure pad in between his teeth as the throttle the more he bites down the faster he goes....his run was brilliant....126mph at just over 6 seconds....

yes, it was a competition the judges have had there vote and i think they gave it to the Jimmi Hendrix sculpture as 1st place, once that's done the public gets to vote there favorite one, it cost $3 each to get in and they give you a poker chip which you drop into the box next to your favorite sculpture, i don't know how much or what they win though....i quess a share of the entrance fee, there work was a pleasure to look at....such talent....
