Now you've mastered the editing software, no doubt you'll be moving in to "more profitable" film productions?? Excellent job, as always Si. Your professional efforts are very much appreciated. Cheers Sib

I had about four days on the trot like that. Conversely, every time I went out to the field in my Landrover and no gun, there were rabbits everywhere! That's what makes is so unpredictable and therefore more satisfying when you do have a good day. Cheers Sib

Great shooting, as always, Si. I'm OK with holdover, but allowing for windage is not something I'm any good at. I feel another tutiorial coming on. Cheers Sib

Top job Si. Fame at last eh? Cheers Sib

Hey Festa - great job. It certainly makes that S200 look a mean beast and obviously a very accurate gun. Sib

How to use the Hawke ChairGun Pro software made easy
sibaldib replied to zini's topic in Airgun Hunting
hi sib how are ya buddy, havent seen ya about for a while regards davy Hi Davy, Have had a stupidly busy summer as the wife has a lot of horses (14 and 3 foals due next spring) and I have been helping her out at the weekends getting water to the fields etc. Add to that the fact I have been travelling a lot on business and I've been flyfishing, it hasn't left me too much time. I have had the occasional foray out rabitting, but not had time to be on the forum. Now the nights are drawing in I should be re-appearing. I've sold my AA S400 and now have the HW100 in .22 (which I l -

Excellent post - thanks Si, much appreciated. Sib -
Well done mate. The fewer rats the better as far as I'm concerned. We've got a few round our stables, but they're all in small areas, so difficult to get at with an air rifle! Cheers Sib

Nice shooting mate Sib

Nice to see someone decoying with an air rifle. It means your fieldcraft really has to be top notch. Well done. Sib

As Deker says, it all depends on your barrel. My mates and the local gamekeeper told me to try Winchesters, but however much I tried I could not get consistent shots with them. When zeroing I would get 8 out of 10 in the middle of the target and regularly get two fliers. That is unacceptable to me for live quarry so I switched to Eley subs. They are very accurate in my gun and consistent and I would rather have that than a little more stopping power. Cheers Sib

If you shoot a .20 does that make you bi-calibre or transcalibre?? Sib

he is not too bothered as he is in hospital getting a rest from me mam, but being of irish stock it wont get overlooked.he will have a few when he is up and about thanks for asking bill regards davy Hi Davy. Sorry to hear that buddy. Hope he has a speedy recovery to good health. Bill. Me too Davy. Best wishes. Sib

Well done Jack. Nice to see a write up and pictures with a springer involved. Cheers Sib

Nice write up and pictures Gary. Glad you're getting on well with the S510 after a few doubts. I see you've got a sensible silencer for it now. Whatever anyone says about them being quiet, I don't like shrouded barrels without a silencer, for hunting. Cheers Sib
-
That's a bloody good hunters trick Davy!! Seriously mate - an excellent write up and great pictures. You certainly are at one with the S410. By the way I'd like to see you get a few magpies. I know how difficult they can be and my tally is very low on them. Could do with a few tips, as I absolutely hate them and what they do to the local songbirds. Cheers Sib

Although I've never tried guns like Daystates that people rave about, since getting my HW100KT I have not wanted to use anything else. It's engineering, accuracy and handling are far better than any other air rifle I have handled. This includes Falcons, BSA and Air Arms Despite it's hefty price tag, my local RFD tells me that he sells three times as many of these than any other air rifle, PCP or springer. You will not regret buying one (and if you do, could you give me first refusal?) Cheers Sib

Webley Raider 2 shot.
sibaldib replied to wanderinstar's topic in Rifle Reviews, Technical Help and Tips
They are very underrated guns in my opinion. The price they are selling them for at present is a steal. I had a single shot in .177 for years and it was superbly accurate. However, as Ian points out, they are very pellet fussy. Mine loved Accupell and Bisley Magnums but sprayed anything else all over the place. Cheers Sib -
Nice post Shay. You won't find a more helpful bloke on here than Si. He has given me a lot of advice on various topics when I have PM'd him and I can honestly say that my shooting has improved following his direction. Top man. :thumbs-up: Cheers Sib
-
Well done Gary. Anyone got the Chairgun Pro figures and trajectory for that pellet?? Sib
-
I'm with Davy on this one. I have my scopes set to 10x following some advice from Zini a few months ago and my shooting has improved no end. I only have to remember one set of holdover figures (which is difficult enough for me anyway!) and once the rifle is set up on this basis I'm not to worried about slightly out of focus shots at under 30 yds. In fact only about 15% of the rabbits I shoot are under 30 yds. Cheers Sib.

HW100 consistant performer.
sibaldib replied to stevieskin's topic in Rifle Reviews, Technical Help and Tips
I love my HW100 KT in .22. It's a bit bashed about as I use it in the Land Rover and in thick cover, but it's consistency shot to shot is brilliant. If I could afford it I'd get a matching model in .177. Can't praise them highly enough. Sib -
great tips si, was gona put a wind indicator near my warrens but wasnt sure if it would spook the bunnies or not?? i guess after a while they would get used to it?? sorry to jump in but si is away from a pc for 3 weeks now i think if he managed to get his flight?? but a .22 is worse in the wind as it has a larger surface area and is (same legal limit gun) travelling slower than a .177. Hi Alex. You been at the Cyder again The old .22 is larger yes, and travels slower, but its far better in the wind, because of its weight. The .177 nip's along and is quicker, but more a

100 yard rabbit shot with 12ft/lbs.
sibaldib replied to LordGamebore's topic in General Airgun Discussion
I don't take 100yd shots with my .22 rimfire, because I'm not happy that I'm good enough to kill every time. There are too many variables in this video - pellet drop compensation, windage and shooting downhill - to make it viable. Doesn't help if the antis see this sort of thing, either. Sib
