  1. Nice shooting again with the springer, Si Cheers
  2. Great write up., pics and video davy. We've still got bugger all rabbits on my permissions, but most of them are heavily churned up by the horses and I don't think the poor things like deep mud much. Cheers Sib
  3. Si, PM fired across (with three mildots of holdover) Cheers Sib
  4. Now that scope makes the HW100T look "real purty". Sib
  5. Excellent video Si and full of very good, sensible advice. Nice to see the kills you got with what most would consider a plinking rifle. Cheers Sib
  6. These videos just get better and better. It must be really difficult getting on aim looking through the videocam screen, particularly in low light. Can't wait for the next DVD - my finger is hovering over the Paypal button! Cheers Sib
  7. We're all gonna miss this! Great footage as ever Si. Good that Dylan is getting more involved. Cheers Sib
  8. Well that's done it Si. You are just going to have to find out how to attach a videocam to your fullbore and post some pictures of boar hunting! Sib
  9. Blimey. This is serious news. I believe you have helped more people on this forum than anyone else and always been balanced in your views. We all wish you well. (Also PM'd you mate) Cheers Sib
  10. I use my old 20 bore cartidges cut in thirds. Not too bad at 30 yds but difficult to see the damn things at 40+ !MAybe that's just my age and failing eyesight though. Cheers Sib
  11. Nice bag Gary. Looks like you and the S510 are going to get along famously. Cheers Sib
  12. Nice shooting Gary. Was that with Air Arms Field pellets? Sib
  13. Interesting. When I was in the local gun shop on Friday the guy was telling me that they refuse to stock FX rifles as they have had so many problems - seals etc. Also he wants to stock Webley, but he'd just sent two Sidewinders back as they wouldn't hold a charge. Hasn't had any problems with the HW100 and cannot get enough of them, even at the relatively high price they are now. Cheers Sib
  14. I also got one a coouple of days ago. Compared to my AA S400 and TDR it is so well engineered and a pleasure to use. The side lever is silky smooth and so much easier than the bolt action of the AAs. Zeroed it in yesterday and it was pellet on pellet. Going to order some FX pellets on Zini's recommendation and see how they go in it. So impressed that I may consider selling the S400 and TDR and getting a HW100 in .177 as well. Cheers Sib
  15. Now your getting it Thats just the logic I would use Get ther the gun of your dreams, take her out when its freezing cold, to a place with only a few bunnies, a tin full of the worse pellets for that gun (make sure the skirts are crunched up big time) knock the zero off a couple of clicks and withing a month the guns yours You rotten sod Phantom Some people on this forum have very devious minds. Great idea Phantom!
  16. Good luck with your new gun today, Gary. Let us know how you get on. Sib
  17. Nothing better than starting your kids as soon as they are comfortable with a gun. My boys were shooting clays at 13 and using my air rifles. They moved on to other things and have now flown the nest, but hopefully they will educate their children the same way. Oh and she's bound to be better than you Gary, as your eyesight is probably worse than hers! Cheers Sib
  18. Excellent video. They seem to get better and better. :signthankspin:
  19. Cracking write up. And you're selling the ProSport??? Cheers Sib
  20. Excellent write up and picture. Distinct lack of rabbits round here at the moment. Keep up the good work, mate. Cheers Sib
  21. I have refrained from replying up until now, because this situation seems to typify the state of this country at the moment i.e. vociferous minorities ousting silent majorities. Suffice to say, I agree wholehearedly with the above. Take time to cool down Wuzzy and stay with your mates. Cheers Sib
  22. As Jamie says, about 60 in .22. However the S4x0 has a pronounced power curve so the sweet spot is around 160 bar. I fill to 175 and never drop below 100. Cheers Sib
  23. They are excellent and well engineered. Not only that but Rowan are very helpful people. I have one on a S400 and I think I prefer the manual indexing to the auto indexing on my TDR. Cheers Sib
  24. 1) Not great, go by bottle/pump for filling. Fill to 175 bar, no more. 2) Do not let the pressure drop much below 100bar 3) AA Fields, but I'm playing with Falcons at the moment which are a 14.43 grn pellet. Fast, flattish, but still with the surface area of a .22 4)Different guns by the same manufacturer like/dislike certain pellets 5)Dont undo the screw on the magazine as the ball bearing and spring jump out never to be seen again! Davy will probably be on to give some advice. Cheers Sib
  25. That's brilliant Si. Withour doubt your best tutorial and really easy to follow. Can you continue on to finish the sighting in to include holdunder for nearer shots? Cheers Sib
