  1. I think that the scene in Jaws where Captain Quint tells his story from the sinking of the Indianapolis is the best scene there is. What's your best film scene? http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=u9S41Kplsbs
  2. It's unreal just how many great Western films were made, Rio Bravo, The Outlaw Josey Wales, The Man Who Shot Liberty Valance, Butch Cassidy And The Sundance Kid, The Magnificent Seven, the list just goes on, and on, and on... Made with great actors, bad villains, proper plots, forget wannabe L'Oreal for men actors and CGI effects.
  3. I shall take that as a compliment http://www.urbandictionary.com/define.php?term=bogger WILF = Arabic
  4. Yup, lenticels. They're fine to eat, get them down ya. I didn't do a lot of reading on them but they act something like pores for the spud, happens in wetter ground I'm led to believe. http://www.thehuntinglife.com/forums/topic/240901-made-a-start-this-evening/page__st__45 (it's great to have a PA like Malt, I really had no need to reply to this at all)
  5. Yeah, the man who took the photo also done the painting.
  6. OK, this isn't photography, but it originated from a photo! Years ago we used to bring sheep out to various islands by currach. One time, we had rams and before we left the harbour a local man, who was also an artist, took a photo of the scene. I had heard he did a painting of it but can't remember seeing it until this morning. That's my uncle fiddling with the outboard engine and Dad and myself ahead, can't remember who is who there from the painting and it must be 20 years ago. Happy days and fond memories. http://www.oisingallery.com/Painting.asp?PaintingID=2003021910
  7. I plan to Put in some trees last year but didn't protect them adequately and the sheep, well, they didn't kill them all but they tried their best! Not many leaves on them, don't hold out much hope for them.
  8. http://www.bordbia.ie/aboutfood/recipes/chicken/pages/grilledchickenwithpotatowedgesandstirfryvegetables.aspx Made the above tonight for dinner. Herselfs youngest was sick so I forgot to take photos. The lemon flavour stays wonderfully with the chicken breast during cooking, the chicken comes out nice and moist too. The wedges were something I was concerned about, I thought they may not be cooked inside, but they were very fluffy and tasty. Next time I'll use more paprika and sea salt, since this was my first time making them I went a bit easy on both. Cheated with the stir fry
  9. Thanks to a tip from another site I got to watch all of Season 2 online, well, apart from one episode that wouldn't load for some reason. October is the month for Season 3 in the US I believe. There's a trailer out for it, it looks good!
  10. You must have money to burn, they are nice apples but very expensive. we are only a few weeks away from the start of the apple harvest so why not wait until local apples are available cheaply or for free? Local apples I'd be waiting an awful long time I've burnt all my money already
  11. Ah hang on, I have it It's a Motter
  12. they ran right past people fishing wouldent otters with young stayed away from people john Maybe not, I shot a fox once that was standing on a rock in a river. Walked out onto the rocks to fish him out, there was a swish in the water a foot away from my hand. It was an otter, and he didn't leave until I did. That was at night though.
  13. They look like otters to me.
  14. Anyone try them? Seems we can get some nice juicy ones with great taste lately.
  15. I was up until about 1am, not because of this, had a few looks out, didn't see much of anything. It was clear on and off as well.
  16. I have to admit I'm not fully up to date on this, but from what little I have read from 7pm tonight the effects of a "coronal mass ejection" haven't we all had them will reach Earth. Hopefully it'll put on a light show for us all to enjoy. http://lightyears.blogs.cnn.com/2012/07/13/solar-storm-expected-to-hit-earth-on-saturday/?hpt=hp_t2 http://www.(!64.56:886/AstronomyIRL
