None here thank God, the novelty has worn off after the couple of cold spells we had.
  5. Damnit, and we were so close.......... Eh, I mean
  6. Does it help if we all write in really tiny writing for you?
  7. That's hard lines, there's nothing safe anymore, even if it is nailed down or locked up!
  8. You've been rambling for a fair old while Scot
  9. Remington, because once upon a time I bought a duff Tikka T3 Varmint
  10. That's probably because they haven't seen these things before. One of my sheep pens is beside the main road. We were hand shearing the sheep one year, clipping away bent over double as you do getting on with the job. When I stood up to stretch, f**k me, there's 7 different groups of people stood there in total silence aiming all sorts of cameras at us. I hadn't even heard them arriving Was at the tea & sandwich van at the mart last week, sat on the bench beside the van eating and had tourists take our photos, it's just how it goes. Us people living and working in the country side will
  11. The crelant is another torch I'm looking at right now, thanks for posting the video DK, I'd be interested to see how you get on with it I'm getting a seperate torch as a spotter, but I'm as yet undecided what I'll put on the rifle. I find the zero spill a bit annoying, as some spill can be handy both to bring in the more wary animals and also for re-finding an animal that has gone behind a piece of the countryside and out of view. I won't bother with Lightforce again, have four of their lamps and have used them for years but technology is getting ahead of them.
  12. I was training to lead groups walking hills & mountains until my knee gave out on me. Walking poles are invaluable when you get high up on steep ground, they're aluminium to keep the weight down as they walk for miles upon miles, a lot of the time gaining and losing height multiple times. The poles themselves are collapseable/extendable both to suit the height of the person and also if there's scrambling to be done they can be shoved into the backpack to keep your hands free. I also hate cyclists While everyone else you mention are alright by me anyway You'll get all sorts in
  13. Have a look at the blog in this link, about a UK guy who's gone dairying in NZ. If you email him he might have some tips and ideas for you as well. I don't know him, only read the blog, but he seems a nice enough sort. http://farmingforum.co.uk/forums/showthread.php?t=71454&highlight=blog
  14. Been looking at that torch, below is my favourite bit of footage of it (red led pill), most of the stuff online seems to be IR related.
  15. Trusting anyone out there wouldn't be a wise move, look at how many Afghan police shoot other police/soldiers. Look back at Vietnam, the Americans did a bit of village massacring there and haven't been let forget about it. http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/My_Lai_Massacre When you do things like that, all that happens is the enemies message is reinforced about how evil the baby killing westerners are.
  16. Just as long as you don't ask whether your 77 virgins will be male or female all will be well my friend Or human even.. I'm really, really biting my tongue here........ Baiting me like that isn't at all fair !

  18. How do you defeat an idea? If you don't know any better and some charasmatic person comes along, helps you or your family with something small and by the way have you heard about this guy Allah? Andd how the infidels are poisioning our lands, killing our children, sinning against Allah etc. And if you happen to die in service to Allah you will go to heaven, virgins etc, we will look after your family etc.... They need a better idea.
  19. I remember seeing something about that, must be two years or more ago about some type of signal blockers. Was very funny on the programme a few weeks back though, pity they weren't standing around it pressing buttons.
  20. I saw a programme on RTE a few weeks back, some journalist wandering around Afghanistan. He was with some Taliban for a while, they were like a Fawlty Towers outfit. Couldn't get the convoy times right, even with look outs. Fired three RPG's at a truck and all missed. Road side IED wouldn't detionate. They had a big row between themselves afterwards, some lad roaring that another lad had to press and hold the D button on the phone, which he duly then did..... BOOOOOOOOOOooooooooooooommmmmmmmmmmmmmmmm........... Other lad replies "Anyone who get's you to make a mine is a fool!" and stor
  21. Course there is, it's a dickhead with an ak47 being killed by an anti tank missile. No ones said he didn't have it coming.
  22. The nazis tried that, didn't work for them either.
  23. Just about to mention the same thing.....donkeys getting blown tae f**k!! "Out of ammo, out of ammo!!".....well if you stopped pumping 20 rounds into each twat then you might save some, who was the gunner Stevie Wonder.......... They seemed to be quite high up when the camera would back off, maybe they had to use so many to do the job? Maybe...id have thought one of these mounted guns would be pretty accurate at distance though.......... Seemed to be lining up left of shot too..... Don't forget the chopper is moving, probably had to compensate. Thought you were a shooter..?

I noticed that as well, must be a reason for it, maybe wind. The missile strikes seem to be
