  2. I used to have Muckboots, two if not three pairs. They split and tore too easily, as well as being heavy.
  3. Been there, done that, with Maplins efforts anyway, would have been better to set fire to the money and warm me toes that way.

    New Car

Yep, c**ts driving them never pull over in case they get their baby scratched on the nasty countryside Nah I live in the North West and spend a lot of time in and around the lakes so I know all too well how to play the countryside chicken game Lol, Anytime I see a car coming for me with their wheel over the white line I move out not in It's facinating to watch the mini drama which ensues in the oncoming drivers eyes, pull in and risk brushing against that nasty foliage stuff , or stay put and risk a head on 99% go for the foliage, the other 1% are just maniacs
  5. What's my toenails got to do with holes in the heel

    Fookin rain

Strange, I've been reading on BFF about more than one farmer putting shoots off their farms for wheel damage. "More trouble than they're worth" I believe was one of the phrases.

    Fookin rain

I went out last night just testing a new flashlight. Cold, windy, showers of hail, sleet, and rain that hits the ground and bounces back up it's so heavy Needless to say, spotted no fox despite all the ground I covered.
  11. What's not too bad? An inch, two? More, less?
  12. What's the crown like? Did you test it on paper before removing the mod, was it off beforehand as well? How does the gun shoot without the mod on? The POI should be lower (I think) but how are the groups compared to the grouping with the moderator on? Always ( x a billion times) remove the mod after a shooting session, clean the threads, use some copper grease to lubricate them, and always clean your crown.
  13. What does it group like on paper at the range you have it zeroed for and what ammo are you using? Postman asked me to zero his sons Ruger 10/22, at 50 or 60 yards I couldn't get any better than a 4 inch group I think. I didn't have the heart to try the thing at 100 yards, didn't think I'd hit the A4 sheet of paper the targets were printed on.
  14. Is not a nice night....

No fireworks here. Got a new torch this week, took a spin around the countryside looking to spot a fox, saw none, think the bones in my hand are still frozen

  15. Anyone else interested in this? I'm hoping Romney will turf Obama out. I think Romney will be better for an open economy like Ireland. Obama already called us a "tax haven" I think Romneys religion is interesting also, being a Mormon. I didn't like Obama when he ran last time, thought he was too much into vague promises and speechifying for my liking. I did a little bit of looking into the Mormons when I was looking up preserving food etc. They are encouraged to keep a certain amount of food and provisions in house in case of disasters etc, quite a lot of it is sensible. 16. There is already a thread preview option. If you go back to the thread list and put your pointer over a thread, watch out for a down arrow in a circle over towards the right near the name of the thread starter/last poster. Click on that arrow and there's your preview. Think the software here is different to other bulletin board type sites. I know cos I asked about this ages ago.........
  17. when have you ever lost your voice :D It's his typing that does the damage, tap-tap-tappity-tap! Wonder what vioce recognition software would make of him
  18. I've had it twice since Summer. Starts off with sore throat and vague headache, then moves down into the chest and bloody well stays put there. An awful lot of it going around here this year, haven't met too many who've not had it.
  19. This looks good. http://www.onestopthrowshop.com/FandyFire-FandyFireSTLV6.htm It's a modified version of the same flashlight as I have coming from Deal Extreme.
  20. My Thrunite has landed, f**k me it's bright, haven't the scope where I am right now to test it out properly. Unless I go lamping cars on the dual carriageway across the fields, somehow I don't think that'd end well.
  21. Bloody DHL driver signed for my parcel himself, then didn't deliver it, lazy gimp

Yeah, parcel got delivered yesterday, I thought someone else had signed for it and taken my parcel initially

  22. Got my first ever kick off one this year. Was out checking my sisters horses, there's always been leccy tape up, but it's never been powered. Neighbour had horses there earlier in the year and kindly left the energiser unit powered up and attached to a tape across a roadway. I discovered this fact with one leg either side of said tape and had a firm grasp of it How I managed not to kick the energiser down the road ahead of me I don't know
  23. Well, 20 mountain rescue came out, 4 went up the mountain. Could hear the rescue lads shooting from across the valley. Bad showers and cloud was well down the mountain, could see the rescue lights through it. Locals were directing them to the last point the light was spotted. They were searching a fair while and then... They spotted a tent! German couple camping, told no one, no car around so maybe came from far side of the mountains or got dropped off. Alls well that ends well!
  24. I know, that's the trouble. All very well going somewhere, but some other poor unfortunates then have to go up to rescue. Mtn rescue on the job now, they'd a big light, shone it at the mountain and the other light appeared again so off they went up. I don't envy them.
