surely then most semi auto shotguns must be siezed( non fac) as some can also be "altered" to accomodate more carts? can the gunsmith not fix the magazine or would that cause problems loading?

as the chap says he has had low sugar "TWO YEARS AGO".and has a driving licence( check every 4 years i believe). i can vouch for the lad being fit as a fiddle( he may collapse after a days beating when he is home, but who doesn't?). any joy with the feo or doctor today bud??

the video is not that bad mate. but christ almighty that must have taken some working out 24 in one day must be hard work too, they nust get some cash for them to warrant a heli? or is the land damage a factor too? very different hunting to that which i have done, looks like good fun though( alot of things which can gore, disembowel, maim and kill are though aren't they ) keep it up ned, interesting stuff you get up to bud. michael

i think the problem is that you seem to be asking questions which you can look up yourself. the falcon you are refering to is a merlin. alot of the stuff you will want to know is in the "frequently asked questions" section pinned at the top of the forum. people are wary of answearing questions which could be turned around or twisted by " antis" and shed a bad light on the sport/lifestyle they enjoy and some live for. check the pinned section, inform yourself as much as possible and you will find that most will try to help you out if they can. cheers p.s. retaliating like that won

.22LR supersonic or "stinger"
waidmann replied to langouroux's topic in Rimfire, Centrefire & Shotguns
i have the gold tip from remington and subs. as above sub= 60 yards gold =100 yards. all i need is a second mag for my cz 452 style and the change from bunny to fox can go smoother i know some don't like the .22lr for fox but if the shot is "on" they drop. some may run a couple of yards but thats why i take the terrier out lamping. p.s. i am not saying the .22lr is a foxing rifle but at the right range and good shot placement it does the job ( and does it well enough for "opportunistic" fox shooting up to 100yards imho). -
hemp will do the job you just have to dry them out when used. a good price if 6ft nets. i don't see why people post on for sale threads with derogatory comments? if you think its crap, then don't post if you don't want it!!!!! good luck with the sale mate.

i have seen both bavarian and hannoveran working( follow ups and hunting up). they obviously have a great nose. they a said to be one man dogs, but will integrate into the family. they can be possessive/protective( people and hunting gear/game they were bred to protect too). they have a good prey drive and are capable of "thinking" for themselves and problem solving. a mate hed a hannoveran that he used to take on pheasant shoots( marking, retrieving the lot. this is an exception i think and would be frowned upon by the bgs/hs clubs).allthough the dog worked his intended quarry too.

do you not find the 7 and a half a lack in stopping power for pigeon? up to 25 yards ok but i often shoot( set up my decoys) at 30-45 yards and find they are hit but don't drop. i'm all for smaller shot( shock being the killer and not organ damage/penetration) but have found 7's too light for pigeon and have not used them on pheasant/ducks.

great pics and REAL handy looking dogs ned probably the best running thread on thl. i'm sure i'm not alone in finding them a good read( and in my pure,unadulterated,un-diluted JEALOUSY that i'm not over there taking part!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!) just kidding bud. great stuff keep the thread running,i hope there are lots more pages to come. yours in sport, michael.

My new dog and pups 1st brush pile
waidmann replied to go2ground's topic in Earthdogs & Working Terriers
them raccoon take some shifting don't they!! we had quite a few in hoexter(germany). they can be real nasty too,i used to cath them in big box traps all of the time( don't even need to bait it if its in the right place,a bit of tin foil on some string did help though). a worthy quarry for any small dog( especially at the beginning of winter as they are very heavy). do you have the enok there too? ( martin dog? come from asia, imported for the pelt farms.) great pics bud and good to see the dogs getting stuck in. the pup has one hell of a head on him too!! -
i might be of a different opinion here, are we saying that the only dogs good to ground are stayers? have you ever worked a "flyer"? they find, harass and when it gets hot they move.find again often from a different approach.i have had a bitch and her bitch pup who both worked like this and no fox held it out long with them.they only made contact at the arse end(neither were ever marked and some foxes bolted with the brush stripped).both were tested in trials and did well. digging is not the only way to bag the fox.what of the earths we cannot dig? dogs like this will work seven times a we

deer calibre, .270, .308, 6.5x55 or any others
waidmann replied to blackfox's topic in Deer Stalking & Management
for a bit of everything i would go with the .308. you have a huge choice of factory loads( some are quite cheap and still usefull) and alot of reloading opportunities. is has the speed without kicking the rear out of it. i have shot pig and deer with .308 and was very happy with the effect( heart shot, min damage stopped on the spot).i have also shot sika with the .270 and found too much bruising(haematome) in the meat.i very rarely shoot at the head and neck as i have seen first hand what happens when you "scratch" them. from pigs shot through the snout and roe through the windpipe and or -
they look great a girlfreind in germany does alot of painting( professionally) and has made alot of money painting hunting dogs for people( from a selection of photos) has the better half thought of that yet? i'm sure she could move a few on this and other sites? ifg i had the talent i would give it a go atb

as you say she is still learning, let her in at the end of the dig( alone) and see what she has to say. i don't think that doubeling up is a good idea but each to their own. good luck with the bitch.

sometimes its to do with the excitement of the work and others to do with drinking cold/dirty water. it should in both cases stop very quickly. as above rice helps and lots of clean water. keep an eye on her as botulism and other nasties are more likely in cold/previously frozen waters( decaying resarting due to sunlight). not trying to scare monger you. how old is the dog? atb
