    im in any day or place with prior notice if in london or not local to me id have to leave the pooch at home as id have to get the train or coach mabey get 3-4 lads or more if local. im in middlesbrough

    yeah i had the same with my pup a few weeks ago, a hores and rider ran past on a lower path and i could see the dog watching it but didnt think anything of it, as i carried on walking i turned round and he was running towards them i shouted and whistled and he stopped come back. i too have had him round livestock from an early age. infact i walk past the stables everyday on his walk and go and stroke the horses and let him have a sniff ect must just be the chase instinct in lurchers. atb sam

    cheers mate ill admit he could be fitter as i dont do any fitness with him jus a good 1-4 hour mooch a day depending on how busy i am

    yeah started rolling in about 2 pm round my way its getting worse as the day goes on

    yeah all the places local to me that where once hotspots hold no rabbits and neither do the sorrounding areas, seen a rise in roe in my area tho

    thanks for the kind comments iv had him out for a look on the lamp with a mates dog and give him 3 runs doubled up just to calm him down abit but when i say i wont run him till next season i mean working him hard, ofcourse he dont think the same and chases everything that he sees when off lead from birds to roe but i can up to now call him off (roe and charlie) just let him have a go at the birds its fun to watch, never see rabbits when i take him for a mooch. his trainning seems to take one step forward and two steps back somtimes which i blame my lack of expeireance with bringing on a pup,

    cheers bird, the dam apperently was a cracking fox dog in her day aswell as deer and rabbit but lacked a bit of pace for the long ears so the lad put the saluki x over her

    heres my pup, saluki/bull/grey x collie/bull/grey about 8 month old and standing 25"tts pics are from my phone so not good quality but hope you enjoy, ill admit he could be fitter but im not working him till next season what you think

    hi lads, im usualy a running dog man but have always had air rifles, recently iv been thinking about applying for my SGC. i first had a go at shooting at the beadale game fair hitting 7 out of 10 clays and i loved it, iv been out a few times rough shooting with my mate and he takes his .410 with him ferriting, so i was having a look at second hand shotgun prices and came across a nice under and over with interchangeable 12g and .410 barrels, i really like the idea of this and wondered if it mabey a one off thing or that you have to order the barrels seprate as iv searched the net and cant

    me and my dad just got some ferriting permission about 20 mins drive away were goin up to see what the crack is on friday morning, my dads mate shoes horses and he got us on there, apperently theres around 60 acers and some is on a railway bank. i dont know if i can take the dog on yet but if not well keep him sweet and let him know he can trust us and mabey he will let us take the pooch so fingers crossed
