  3. not sure on the trainability but both my mates dogs seem good enough, both retriving recall ect, not sure about the reds as he dont run them, a member on here has one that came 3rd in obediance at chatsworht, theres a pic of his dog buster in the for stud section

  11. in regards to led lamps a few lads have been using these, found in another topic from this site, apparently not too good for big fields and only good for about 50-60 m but small enough to fit in your pocket, mabey good as a backup lamp or small fields ect. good if your only going out for a quick mooch and dont want to carry your usual set up. the technology is there just needs improving, im sure it will vwery soon http://shop.ebay.ca/?_from=R40&_trksid=m38&_nkw=tiablo+A9

  13. good luck with him mate whats he like on the lamp thanks the few times iv had him out was mainly to "watch and learn" and give him 1-3 runs mostly doubled up but hes had a few single he seems really keen, that was befor the snow came and in my mind he was still abit young, the rabbits round here are lampshy as they get hammerd but hopfully going saturday night to get him some easy confedance boosters. he can very headstrong and immature at times so over the summer i hope to sort this and get hes retrive ect up to scratch ready for next season. not rushing things with him so fingers crosse

  16. thanks turbo, not really hes still young (even younger in the head). just mooching about mostly, took him ferriting for the first time last week but nothing bolted, had him out on the lamp a few times.

  18. i wouldnt mind one bit abit pricey for me tho, wonder what the tehcnologies going to be like next season,i heard talk about LED lamps being developed they would change the lamping game as they hardly use much power
  19. good point and also most working dogs are treat better than most pet dogs in regards to diet, exercise and trainning

  21. very good point and i will try use my old dog as an example as my new dog is still a pup. he was kept indoors, went everywere with my mum, playful/friendly with kids good with other dogs, liked to go to the park for a game of fetch, guarded the house/garden very affectonet(sp), just like a family pet but in work mode he would lamp off lead(only run when told), retrive live to hand, work with ferrets, do deer fox and the odd hare daytime, jump, good recall, walk to heal even when rabbits where in field, stockbroke, just like a worker my opinion of a worker is a dog that is kenneled a
  22. i agree that any dog can be a deterant my old collie grey was a good guard dog, if any strange man came in the house he would not leave my mums side and not take his eyes off them, but he loved women so if it was a female burglar hed let her have everything. i seen one of them kangals in a resturant turkey last year and was a nice bitch very friendly. the owner dared me to run off as i said she was a big softie, when the gates where closed at night she was very aggresive if you stood their, there was chikens, cats, rabbits, and other dogs running free in the resturant garden and the kangal was
