As you know, our youth system has been one of the most respected in the country for years and the U23 have some amazing talent. One thing I will never do as a hammers fan is talk shit above our station so to speak mate, we just don’t do that. My point is, I dont think this has anything to do with “investment” and I think it has everything to do with talented coaches who know how to get inside players heads, create the right mindset at a club and play football in the right way.........nobody here is talking about winning leagues, but it’s about really going and having a go and playing
  2. You would have tripled the membership of the West Ham Suporters club in Ireland if you had bought that ! Lol

Don’t know if I said it on here or in a conversation with a pal mate but I was never impressed with the appointment of Pellergrini, early this season I thought I been proved wrong but it’s seems not. These old hat managers are exactly that, old hat.....football is moving on pal imho Now they are talking about Benitez and Chris Houghton and all that shit......and I have my head in my hands like “for f**k sake” So, our ambition moving from Upton Park was to be like Brighton or Newcastle was it? .......f***ing brilliant, you couldn’t make it up. That performance Saturday was
  4. Hastings went the same mate, absolute piss hole. Im not sure, but I think there are a few more upmarket Independant business moving in now.

I was a bit worried about the bloke, it was very out of character ? Hope he is OK
  6. I was in Canterbury last summer and I was shocked at the few empty shops, HOWEVER......as a whole the place was still rammed with people and the percentage of empty shops was small compared to those still thriving. Now, imho, a town as busy as that shouldn’t have any empty shops but the place was maintained, around the cathedral was still lovely. Sandwhich had every shop occupied and was booming. All making the most of what they have and looking after it. No derelict boarded up places there. Obviously here we have the border and the contrast is stark......as you leave
  7. Yeah, they are hideous ain’t they mate! Maybe I should do away with them altogether, what do you reckon ?
  8. A bit of basic thinking will soon get people to a point where they understand that decline in wildlife is more about urban sprawl, development, industry and agriculture than it is about hunting. I’m no fan of trophy hunting at all, I just don’t see the point but I do understand the benefits. Putting the blame for decline on hunting is more about raising revenue for wild life organisations than about saving anything. But, unfortunately, some folks intellect only stretches as far as the front page......actually thinking stuff through will never be their strong point. A fat Am
  9. I wonder if that’s why you don’t have the managed estates in Ireland and consequent lack of game?
  10. What I mean is mate England could do with your lack of spades and more respectful, old fashioned way of behaving towards each other. It could do with your willingness to stand up to government and officials and stand up for your communities. it could do with your love of your own culture and traditions and willingness to preserve them. Ireland could do with England’s industrious attitude and willingness to do things. You wouldnt see the derelict villages in England, especially ones that have the potential to be as beautiful as the ones in Ireland.....they would be bustling
  11. There’s some nice boutique leather shops in Brussels as well isn’t there mate, bought my Mrs a rather nice handbag when I was there years ago on business.
  12. What a cultured bunch we all are !
  13. That’s pretty mate, it looks almost bleached......did you bleach it?
  14. You made a nice job of those mate, I bet you did quiet well with those didn’t you ?
  15. Do you know what, I will, thank you mate.
  16. My thoughts exactly mate, the wash stand was such a good colour and I like how delicate the legs are......just a nice colour and proportions so I bought it. The chair was just really “blokey” and manly and again, great colour and ware. f***ing hell, hark at me ! Lol
  17. Yeah, I’d like to have a look mate I really would. I don’t think the price of things comes into it, if you like somethings and it makes you smile when you walk in the room then that’s good enough. I wouldn’t have the knowledge of a lad like Sid who has been in the job for years, it’s just a couple of odd bits to muck about with since I semi retired. I have an interest in design and furniture design in particular, it’s my inner artist breaking out mate ! Thats what they will have on my grave stone : WILF Racist, Philanthropist, Artist & all round good guy !
  18. I don’t think about the age of things mate, I just buy what I like and if a thing has something about it .
  19. Over 20, the artist died in 1996 mate
  20. Made in Ireland by a Franciscan monk called Benedict Tutty, it’s over 20 years old.......dont know the exact age because I have not researched that hard. Clay on a metal base mate. Ill probably sell it, it’s called “Singer”
  21. Good for you mate, nice to see a young bloke out and at it creating a bit for himself
  22. Bought this little chap as well, original piece.....last at auction in New York, then into a collection then to me.
  23. Couple of my recent purchases
  24. Haha, I have exactly the same van in exactly the same colour.....except it’s an Ali Luton with barn doors which suits my interests just right. Always had sprinters, except for one Iveco, don’t like these new motors.....too many electric control systems on them. The older sprinters and the 3 & 410s were a much better motor. My old 413 had half a million miles on it when it got nicked !
  25. Always have a Luton around me, I just can’t help myself ! Lol
