    Brexit

Apparently every country has a veto
  2. You dont need to be in anyway scientific to see the damage we are doing. They have a country park in my old area, it 600+ acres and the lot of it is rubbish 40 feet deep that they simply capped over and planted grass !! One look at that gaff when it was operational would tell you all you need to know about what we are doing to things. The device I’m typing this on now has given birth to vast and highly poisonous chemical lakes in China, they are enormous and filthy and deadly. There are lakes of pig blood in the United States to feed our supermarket addiction Cattle c
  3. I don’t believe in evolution mate but I believe we are f***ing up the planet. Those positions are not mutually exclusive
  4. One thing that can’t be denied, we are f***ing trashing the gaff......and eventually there will be a day of reckoning because nature will always put itself right. We are living worse than animals on a range of different levels and stupid pantomime performances like this young girls distract from the seriousness and reality of what’s going on. We should be talking about the big issues but instead we are talking about how these climate change idiots turn it all into a nonsense that people then laugh at.
  5. Same as that...... Still being queer does have some unexpected bonuses......the gay lad who works at the same place as my daughters text one of them earlier to cover 2 hours of his shift so he could get ready for a party tonight so that’s an extra £20 in her pocket tonight !! Lol
  6. I would genuinely be all over that, I wouldn’t do hardly anything to the inside just leave it as original as possible. If houses sold quickly here, I’d probably buy it.
  7. Oh so many.......so, so, so, so many !
  8. That ridiculous stage school performance of a speech must have set the cause of taking our earth seriously back about 10 years !.........
  9. If he thinks his body is upto it then why not, Ronaldo had to retire young because of under active thyroid and what with all the old injuries his body couldn’t take it. Nigel Benn was knocking about with some wild lads in his hey day and no doubt (as he says) living a wild life......he is probably cleaner and fitter now than he was then. He wants to have a go, he feels he can so f**k it, why not......no better man for the job. A 55 year old Nigel still has more integrity than most of the current heavyweight division from the little I have seen of them.

    Brexit

Reading the article, they already had that law about ALL flags of all countries but the EU flag didn’t fall into that catergory.........the most worrying thing is not the law, it’s the fact that it is being recognised as a symbol of state and not an economic organisation.
  11. I am no authority on cattle mate but I’m sure they are doing it to get more yield from a single animal would be my best guess One mouth to feed, one TB test to pay for, one set of hoofs damaging the ground, one lot of methane emissions for the equivalent carcass weight of maybe two animals. it will have all been thought through I’m sure. I can’t speak about calving because I just don’t know
  12. I’m sure I will get a verbal kicking for this, but when I heard the report before even reading anything I knew exactly what the circumstances were going be.......
  13. Jmho But I have always believed that foul hooked fish have more power because you don’t have the pressure on the head to change the angle of movement. A bit like a bit in horses. Fish are most powerful in a forward direction, and any hooking in the flanks will still allow them to exert forward movement unhindered. However, place pressure in the mouth and that forward movement only serves to increase the pressure and so with the application of pressure from rod and line, you can make the fish turn. It turns because the pressure eases when you go with it rather than against i
  14. I think (in reference to your spear fishing comment) it would feel no more pain than a fallow when you shot it. In nature, anything killing or catching anything else will involve pain.....after all pain is designed to look after you and that must include not being killed or wounded.
  15. I hear you mate, although I always look at the sire I do think it’s relied on too much......as in, folks may want a big 28 inch stamp of dog and bring in a male of that stamp but breed it to a small bitch. Imho that makes no sense, you may as well look for everything you want in both dogs to improve your chances (but that’s all very backyard and non scientific) The science is out there to make it happen (because they do it with beef cattle all the time) but obviously your backyard dog breeder isn’t going to access that type of science......it’s all “on the back of a fag packet” type
  16. Depends on the strength of the genetic line, it may be more powerful in the women for some reason.
  17. I have always looked at the sire in dogs and picked a male pup if possible......however the final result is locked away in the blood and most breeding is trying to give the best chances by bringing together the best examples and then hoping for the best. A male that throws good offspring from one good bitch may throw absolute shite from another good bitch......that bit is out of your hands. You see “most powerful male” natural selection in nature all the time.
  18. The lateral line would be a much more sensitive organ than the mouth, but I think we are humanising “pain” and I dont believe fish feel in that way......they just couldn’t function in their environment if they did.
  19. Fish I know a little bit about. You have to think of a fishes mouth like your fingers, it’s the fish equivalent of your hand. They use the mouth to touch and explore. The mouth can detect resistance (from say a baited line) and it also feels the prick of a hook (which is what many anglers rely on for efficient terminal rigs in static bait fishing) However, the mouth is also a pretty hardy tool in as much as it can deal with sucking up gravel etc........it’s like the hard hand of a bloke who has done hard manual labour all his life, tough but still sensitive to stimulus.
  20. Blimey ! That escalated quickly......so before I get drawn into something that’s none of my business let me just make a couple of things clear: The only thing I’m into flattening these days is my dinner ! And nothing Max has ever said to me would make me feel angry in that way towards the bloke and I’m sure he feels exactly the same. We exchange some banter, some strong opinions and a few friendly (and sometimes not so friendly) insults.....that’s it and that’s all ......no skin off anyones nose as far as I can see. just for the record

    Brexit

My view on Brexit has been changing slightly over the last couple of months. Now the EU is a shit organisation and they are definitely going to a very sinister place with all this empire building, it also has a distinctly anti democracy agenda on many issues.......however I think the last 3 years have shown us things that we didn’t know before and, it seems, many still can’t grasp.......namely that a massive amount of our daily problems were the fault of the politicians we kept electing to our own parliament, they simply hid behind the EU. We blame massive free movement of people, 3r
