Aye, there have been a couple of cases here involving the GAA.......I’m not f***ing surprised like, there was a match the other day and they were all picking up each other’s kids, 6 in a car and all that nonsense !! My boy had a mild head cold so I kept him off because I couldn’t honestly confirm his health status on the GAA website and it’s just safer for everyone.....belt and braces mate ?

Totally agree with all that mate. I think what the surge in cases is clearly showing is that this isn’t “oh, government say it’s OK now so let’s all go out” ........this is a long term thing and maybe it’s here to stay, f**k it’s going to be painful for years while they try and cling to the wreckage of the old order of things........I think (and it’s only my humble opinion) that the rules of the game are going to change but we don’t know what that means yet.

I think what’s proving to be the worst thing is not know what’s right. Every single day you are having to take calculated risks in things that would have previously just been ordinary. My kids are back to school in 10 days and we dont know shit yet......and in fairness to the schools, I don’t suppose they do either. Its fertile ground for all sorts of crazy theories, and it also shows the level of distrust in “them”.....the politicians that rule us. We are heading into a different world here, I think you just genuinely have to go with your gut and some logic on every situat

See, I don’t recognise that world you describe at all mate ?......it’s why it’s fascinating to read others views. By the way, I’m not saying you are wrong, it’s just different views. I will agree that kids horizons are bigger and that’s a good thing but I genuinely fear the world they have to enter into. As I said, I think we are in a dark time and I don’t know where it’s going to end up......everywhere I look I see madness. Maybe it was always that way ?

I’d say your friends are exactly where the modern western system wants them to be, the fact you are not in that position mate is no doubt down to fate plus a decent dose of hard work. You saw a chance to go and earn your money away from western society and you made that sacrifice and took the chance......maybe it would have been different if you had been say a store manager in a high street in Gateshead or somewhere ?

Today is total shit to be honest mate, the list of MAJOR things wrong is so massive it’s unbelievable. We still have masses of people in real poverty, we still have TB and what’s more we have a mountain more things that are a hell of a lot worse than the things you listed there. I think we are living in one of the darkest political, social, moral and humanitarian times in human history.......the fact we can do it with internet and a smart telly don’t mean it’s not too bad........it’s terrible if we are honest about it.

Most houses over here are built on a slab, the method looks to be very different from most UK houses lads. Jethro I’m guessing will be going onto solid concrete. @jetroI could be wrong mate, so it worth checking, but I think you need a special adhesive if you are tiling over existing tiles.
