  1. That’s pure robbery mate.
  2. I can’t afford to think about brand new motors anymore these days but even when it didn’t matter I wouldn’t have bought a brand new van. Something chain driven, good nic, decent make, few bills round it and enough room in the price for a proper mechanic to go right through it properly and that’s where I’m at. Mileage on anything German don’t really scare me.
  3. Will you get another van mate ? I know you like to keep your hand in and ticking over.
  4. I think modern motors are built to sell parts mate, there’s f**k all money in selling you the motor, all the money is in parts and repairs.
  5. That’s was years ago I had that motor mate, just kept it services and had a limiter in it so it wasn’t thrashed to f**k. It got nicked in the end, but I’d had a couple of the old 308 and 310 d mercs before with 300 and 400 thousand on them. The older mercs were better.
  6. Yes, round the tops of the windscreens and bottoms of the doors mate.
  7. Half a million miles on a merc sprinter

  14. 75 pages in, thank you for helping me discover this from the bottom of my heart ?
  15. I just looked that up and I may get that. What didn’t you like about it if I may ask ? ?
  16. The bottom line is, they can’t afford to stop them farming opium because there is nothing to replace it with. Taking away their income opens a whole lot of doors to a whole lot of people, nah, easier to let us deal with the problems and degradation mate.
  17. Not at all mate, it’s just a hard thing to accept the unbelievable…..our brains just ain’t wired to cope with stuff so illogical. But hey, there it is, right in front of your eyes and it’s in every layer of British life.
  18. Did they do a rent and rates holiday over there for Covid mate ?
  19. In light of Hancock and all that it’s a total f***ing Liberty…..poor b*****ds were probably only trying to keep going. f***ing councils, thieving c**ts !
  20. The old places were built for 3 people huddled round an open fire with a cow in the room next door mate, they were never meant for proper heating sucking moisture out the ground all the time. You won’t see many lime render or thatch places over here, anything organic and grass will grow on it ! Lol
  21. There’s a few things with older houses in Ireland. First of all is the climate, it’s mild and damp all the time in Ireland…..that’s why it’s so fecking green. Almost every house round where I live has damp and mould problems, even newer built houses. The old stone houses were built directly on the dirt from what I can make out and like the 100+ year old end of my house they just poured concrete directly on the floor to form a surface. They also coated the outside in this cementatious render/dashing type stuff that you see on thousands of houses here and now nothing can brea
  22. Exactly the same mate, nothing wrong with attaching a bit of value to yourself if you do good work
