If they had made that film about Stiffmeisters military career it would have been 35 seconds long and involved a Buffoon with a Brennan Huff hairdo tripping up out of a plane door at Camp Bastion and then coming too at the end of the war !

Have you ever been to the war cemeteries in France mate ? A good pal of mine went and he said they were doing the tour with the guide. Anyway, they spot a single lone grave away from all the others and the guide says “I bet you are all wondering why that grave is all alone?” So he told them, it was the old groundsmen and he had cared for the graves for like 50 years or something and before he died he asked if he could be buried with “his boys” because he never wanted to leave them. I just think that is the most fantastic story.

I think it’s OK to have an opinion mate, I’m not really into all this removing men from the process of things…..it’s too much of a get out of jail card for them for starters. We can judge a woman about smoking while off down the pub downing pints every night while she is pregnant type thing. We don’t have to take responsibility for our part in a woman’s pregnancy because “it’s ultimately their choice” You can judge anyone about anything imho as long as you are happy to look in the mirror as well ?

I’m not trying to get into a for/against conversation mate, all I’m saying is that all the time we allow one thing as hideous as that the other thing shouldn’t even be a question ?

It’s no big deal to smoke while pregnant if it’s no big deal to cut a baby to pieces in the womb because it’s “a choice” Smoking a benson and hedges is not even in the same stratosphere as cutting up living humans imho

Oh, I don’t think it has anything to do with poverty……I think it’s an aspirational thing. In the Instagram, celebrate celebrity, everyone needs a new car world people who have to run very fast to stand still with 300,000 worth of mortgage wrapped round them and bills firing at them right left and centre need a release valve…..they reckoned 3 years ago that you needed £27 an hour in my old area just to live !! That’s going to effect some people imho

That’s an interesting concept mate, I always assumed it was escapism…..like the rise of online gambling. People selling you a dream that’s going to make your life that bit worse because you hope it’s pulls you out of where you are type thing ?

Has anyone seen those towns in America that have the massive opioid problem ? Started off with big pharma pushing opiate based pain killers for injuries and people just got hooked…..it’s f***ing terrible what it’s reduced some of those communities too.

You have to remember as well, the old bill have forever…..literally ! I was talking to a cozzer maybe 18 years ago and he mentioned a hairdresser in my old town that just had to be cleaning money up for a little crowd…..he ain’t been got at yet but I think the bloke he would have been cleaning the readies for just got lifted in that phone sting they did all over the world. We will see how that all ends up

I completely sympathise with that post, it’s an excellent post in fact. My wife actually came out with something sensible the other day, she said we have lived through a cultural revolution……we had the industrial and we have had the misfortune to experience the cultural. It’s not been a good experience really.

A little mob round my way used to have all the pill heads out in the car park cleaning their cars for an E ! 2 of that little mob are dead now from helping themselves to their own product and another got lifed off. The governor of the whole lot copped 18 year aged 23 and I don’t know what happened to him after that…..last I heard he had a long running feud with Paul Ferris so it probably won’t end well one day. The lad who got life was a lad I got on with quiet well, nice lad out of Canning Town but his heads f****d now.

The dealers or the users ?…….because I think there’s a massive difference there. Dealers, fair game. But some 5 stone skag head up to his neck in his own misery is just being an horrible bully c**t imho…… Personally I don’t know why you’d want to lay hands on them, I used to hate touching the crack whores money when they used to come down the market Sunday morning to stock up on Lucazade ! Literally disgusting ?

My mum used booze as a crutch for 18 years after my old man died mate, I’ll tell everyone here now with kids, coming home to a pissed parent and whatever drinking crony decided to turn i up on that day is a f***ing horrendous experience for a 12 to 17 year old…..just don’t do it. Edited to add: After 17 you are a man and just get to watch them destroy theirselves from afar, you just pick up the pieces which is what you have always had to do anyway. Nobody has mentioned the very worst offender……booze. It seems to have no user profile, it can be literally anyone. You can be massively successful, down and out, old, young, family person, single……. Social drinking can very quickly turn to just drinking. Weed is at absolutely epidemic levels, round my old way every other 14 year old has an eight for sale and the air stinks of it every where you go…..and I mean every where.
