    We have that referendum every 5 years and have done for the last 70 odd years mate, and we keep backing exactly what we are getting.

    Too late, politics is in sport and nobody will be stopping it any time soon…….I had this conversation to death the other year when they really went into over drive with it so there’s no point in me saying the same stuff again. We had a chance and we found excuses not to take it so we can all dry our eyes and just keep watching. Wales is going to be a cracking game, they have f**k all to loose and the only bit of pride they can take home is beating the English, let’s see how we go to work with that.

    I knew this would be a good game, I have never seen a Japanese team that wasn’t extremely hard working and hard work and bravery will pay dividends in football…..I’m liking how some of these teams are finding ways to win and believing they can, that’s what it’s all about. Even Australia last night, they didn’t embarrass themselves…..it took moments of brilliance from the world champions to put them away, the right back defending Mbappe was man of the match for me, that lad wasn’t phased !

    I think we’d be in serious shit with Mbappe running in behind, but nice to watch a few goals. As you know mate, I can take or leave the England football team but you can only play what’s in front of you and that was very measured and professional and I’d expect very useful given the shit touches and few mistakes you won’t get away with against proper teams and proper players, so handy all round really.

    At the end of this little turnout people will be willing to vote for almost anything as long as they make the pain stop…..freedom, primacy of the nation state, low immigration, destruction of communities will all come way down the list compared to cheap credit, cheap mortgage rates and 2 weeks in Benidorm !

    I agree, but that only matters if Labour are any different and 70 years of proof says they ain’t…..the rosette colours are different, the politics is the same.
