I think it’s because he don’t want Europe on Russias door step and the Russian people getting a glimpse of all the European “free” money…….it would seriously destabilise his position and in much wider terms (as we are all experiencing) ultimately be bad for Russia if they eventually got rid of Putin and embraced the EU. Ultimately Russia is the prize, it’s always been the prize in power hungry European political terms from the Vikings to Napoleon to Hitler…..Putin knows this too. Jmho

Good post. Most of my interaction with this world was right at the end of construction works, but the culture permeates beyond that. Bottom line is, nonsense costs money……which is totally fine as long as they are willing to foot the bill. I doubt it, I’ve been sent off twice in the last month from the sidelines for telling refs to ref the game properly……in fairness in England a ref wouldn’t have even talked to me but in Ireland they are a bit fragile ! If you want to see bad refereeing come to Ireland, from premier league to grass roots it’s absolutely f***ing awful !

Just leave the game alone, look at the past few rounds of the FA cup…..been absolutely brilliant !! Do you think it has a lot to do with the fact we don’t just have accidents anymore mate ?…..somebody has always got to be to blame ? When you see the likes of grenfell where they will likely try and get the contractor prison time, even though 20 people will have been involved in specking that job and nobody had the slightest intention of hurting anyone, it the contractor who will loose everything ? …….surely that has to absolutely paralyse productivity when you have to think about what’s the most serious and non sensible place anything could end up ?

It would also be interesting to know what it costs everyone ?…….ultimately if a large firm has a build done and contractors are having to factor in spending half of every day dancing round some rule or regulation then they are rightfully going to price that in. They will have to price as worst case scenario so the added cost must be massive ? That cost will ultimately get picked up by the customers of whoever is having the build done. Just the wasted time on nothing will have a massive cost. Maybe that’s why China is building new 1000 mile river systems and we can’t fix a p

Talk about a load of bollocks !…..I once sold a load of kit to one job, they were just finishing the fit out (as in snagging a few ceiling tiles, carpet tiles and sweeping up outside) when we installed it.
