How many times to folk have to read the tales of f*****g misery before they spend a fiver a week on some decent insurance? If you are going to own a working lurcher, I dont think a packet of fags a week is too much to insure it gets the very best care in case the worst happen.........if you had decent cover with petplan, you dont have to f**k around with silly small animal Vets who aint got a clue what they are doing......just get the animal referred to the best and bobs your uncle. I have seen you give the big lad some truly amazing slips of 300yd plus, a burnout quick jobby would be no good to you but down my way where there is a lot of ambient light and your hunting on half chances all the time, fast and furious would be ideal. It wouldnt need much wind mate because every run is over and done with in seconds, that said you and I know that for real work you need a lot more than that..... What you really want is a bull x, go on admit it!!

I have hunted all over this country and I can honestly say that each place is special and unique in there own way, you have to adjust your style to different terrain, now anyone can do that if they have half a clue no matter what part of the country they come from and as for dogs, a good dog is always a good dog but again, if it has only ever run in one part of the country it may have to adjust its style. No one group is better than the other, good lads are always good lad same as pricks are always pricks!!

Get the dog to a proper vet, yours is obviously a clown!........."Leave it in a cage" (any dressing at all?).........."Most Will amputate"??????>>.......what the f**k is that all about?? I had a dog break a leg before the ban, took her to Noel Fitzpatrick (this was at the end of that October)......he put her back together and she was running hares midway through the January, your vet obviously has very little experience of this type of thing.....GET ANOTHER VET! or just tell him you want to be referred right away to a specialist bone vet surgeon.

Sorry matey, you misunderstood me, I wasnt saying that one thing is superior to the other. I have absolutely no problem with taking hares on the lamp, if your out on a trip and it pops up in the beam then lets have a run is the way I look at it. What I am saying is, on some of the fields in my part of the country you would totally exaust a dog after 5 runs wether you give it law or lamplight or whatever......which imho means that the question means nothing.
