IMHO, the very fact that we seem intent on taking some kind of perverse "revenge" everytime there is even a hint of wrong doing in the Police force is the very reason that copper now only seem to persue petty crimes/traffic tickets/hunting outside the ban...... If we gave them free reign to deal with serious stuff then I beleive they would do it and you would see a very different breed of coppers to some of the ones we have now....coppers that have no interest in persecuting the small man........ Look at the public "witch hunt" over those 4 coppers that beat the f**k out of that scumba

To be honest, I am not normally a fan of second guessing the Army, Police, Ambulance or Fire service........in fact any of the agencies that are there to protect us should pretty much have free reign to get on with there job IMHO In a highly charged situation, dealing with a baying mob of scroats all day intent on violence and destruction then some pissed bloke wanders into your way making a pain in the arse of himself while you have other serious things to consider....well, who knows what anyone in the same circumstances would have done....just f****d him out the road or asked hime nicely

Never use them mate, most tackle dealers will give you such good deals off RRP now if you go and see them in the shop its not worth it. Went to one of those big tackle sales at Thorpe Park once and the on the bank the stuff turned out to be shite, lesson learned

Can anyone explain to me what the fun is in carp and match anglers going to these over stocked lakes and pulling out tame carp after tame carp?.....or fishing for a 40 that everyone knows has been imported from france? For the match type anglers, the old timers like Ivan Marks, Kevin Ashurst, Ian Heaps and Dennis White had real angling skill, they were winning matches fishing for truly wild fish.........same with carp fishing, the greats like Rod Hutchinson, Kevin Maddocks and Andy Little were pioneers. We are so far away from what fishing is all about now days its just untrue.

I dont think you are ready to fish for pike yet......if you do happen upon one I dread to think how it will get treated in the un-hooking and return process.

Not sure if it still the case, but multi hook set ups used to be illegal, the venue looks like complete shit with all the rubbish chucked all over the place.....I take it that its a free place? Not being funny, well actually yes I am being funny, but it sounds like you and your pal just went for a good about with no real respect to your quarry or what you are doing. Clean up the shit Stay with your rods Take some time to learn about what you are doing Have some respect for the environment, the quarry and the pastime........keep fishing lads but sort your act out
