Try and get up if you can TOMO, I go up every year in October and trust me, nobody works harder than MOO to put game in front of a guest The time of year I go, its lifting......60,000 pinkfoot in the sky, pigeons galore and all the land game you could ever want, plus we always get out on a few calls for the local farmers and keepers for some pest control with the small dogs.......and best of all, the wee man!.....that lad has got some criac!! :laugh:

It means asking youself why you are assuming that if a person donates something which may break on day one in its new home, that the person who gave it is somehow in the wrong when in fact their intentions were all right. And, since we are talking about motivations for doing something, you posed the question of "are people doing it to make themselves look good" when folk could assume that you started this thread (conciously or not) for the very same reason, ie, to make yourself look good. Fascinating how the mind works really, dont you think. chin chin

You are working on assumptions!!........the bloke that gave her the bench may have had the very best intentions and no idea that the bench was about to break. Most people who give stuff away do so for all the right reasons, the fact that it may or may not break dont enter their mind and in most cases they would be ignorant of the potential for it to do so. Maybe you need the "inward look" for making these type of assumptions and generalisations ...........maybe you are deep down a malicious prick?......makes you think dont it

As much as I can and I also like to have a travel about to get them on some different terrain and out of there same old, same old comfort zone.....I also like to see other good dogs work as to me that will educate you as to what type of standard you should be setting yourself. You may have something in your kennel that you think is the dogs bollocks, but take it up on the hill, on to big stubbles, out in the daytime or places it is seeing more game than you can shake a stick at and it may not be all you though it was

Brilliant attitude, just as it should be IMHO One of the mums was watching her child on the cctv behaving like a complete twat and the mum was laughing, to be fair the dad ended up in tears....... My god, I was a complete scroat at school and was explelled and out working just shy of 15, but I will be damned if I will let my kids make the same mistakes I did, they deserve better than that from me.

Question: How is the one in the jumper and cords bred?......are you having much trouble with his retreive as he looks like he is running off with that stick.....my advice, use a shock collar

yeah i can see the benefit to big amounts of road work if you want a saluki type to run a fen hare for 6-7 minutes..... most people however won't Thats why TOMOs dog can go and bag up on the dales as well

Just watching a thing on the tv about a class of 9 year olds, f**k sake, loads of them cant read or write!!!.......shocking, the parents should be ashamed of themselves! And hows this for a clever idea by the teacher, put the disruptive kid next to a kid that actually wants to learn as a role model........result......the poor kid that wants to learn gets driven mad!!! wtf!

There wont be many doing more than a couple of miles "off road" on foot would be my guess, unless of course you work in the country and can have your dog with you all day.

Well I have tryed both ways with a dog and to be honest the dog that had a ratch about was always better, IMHO they end up a much more intelligent and well adjusted animal. It makes no difference to them lamping if they are out on the beam often enough. I am very impressed with the amount of time and effort everyone puts in, you all seem to be doing 5 or 6 miles which takes time on a bike and all evening on foot (especially if your out on fields)......I wish I had as much time but alas, I dont. My poor f****r will have to content himself with and hour or so on the lamp or a couple of mil
