As young men, myself and a select group of ner do wells would, on occasion, spend the whole day watching Botham on video and getting wasted out of our nut, then off out on a saturday night brimming with patriotic pride and alcohol.........halcyon days.

I feel a bit sorry for myself that the pikeys took my 4x4 last summer and cleared me out of my lamp, all my locators, coat, nets, shovels, roe sack all told about £1800 worth of kit but as they say............thats life If your that f*****g bothered, get his address and buy him a new lamp yourself........I will have a heap of stuff while your at it.

Its hard, its natural in most men to be competative, nothing to be ashamed of. Fair play to you Gnasher for an obviously very honest and heartfelt post ....I was always fircely competative when I played and more than one destroyed dressing room is testament to that fact, I just went to this whole other place in my head and I still find it hard when I watch my girls play sport to remember that its not me out there and the most important thing is that they are enjoying themselves. Sorry Gnasher, but I have to disagree with you about Cole mate, I played that position all my playing career, obviously not at that level, but I do know about playing striker. I used to spend hours studying all the great strikers of my time and the not so great, watching them play on video (sad huh). I have to tell you mate, the chance of getting 5 million for him would have been like winning the lotto!! I can 100% tell you he is absolutely not striker material in any way, shape or form. He lacks the little "something" that is the difference between consistantly scoring and making a back f

Try and get up if you can TOMO, I go up every year in October and trust me, nobody works harder than MOO to put game in front of a guest The time of year I go, its lifting......60,000 pinkfoot in the sky, pigeons galore and all the land game you could ever want, plus we always get out on a few calls for the local farmers and keepers for some pest control with the small dogs.......and best of all, the wee man!.....that lad has got some criac!! :laugh:
