    Feeling kinda sad that the showing season of 2012 is coming to an end this weekend. I shall miss the banter and comradeship of the good Canine men and women of Ireland and further a field. But seasons change and life goes on, and Please God we will all meet up again in 2013. Come on now a Hunting we must go See last 2 shows below SEPTEMBER 16TH THE SPORTING WHIPPET CLUB OF ORTHERN IRELAND ARE HOLDING THEIR LAST SHOW OF THE YEAR AND BARBEQUE OF 2012 THIS SUNDAY THE 16TH OF SEPTEMBER AT DUNSILLY KENNELLS CO ANTRIM.     We started off from Portdaown yesterday morning at 8.30am, with Mickey Quinn and his son Michael joining us at our house, The morning was bright and clear and no rain in sight at this stage. We stopped off at the Motorway Restuarant near Dungannon for our breakfast and was joined there by Janet Duke ,Tracy Gill,and Deidre and Patsy Mc Coy. After a good breakfast was had by all, and plenty of packing in for the rest of the day, we all headed on our journey to Barrontop Donemana , with trailers and dogs in toe.     32 COUNTIES CHAMPION OF CHAMPIONS North West Terrier, Lurcher & Whippet Club Show Will be held at Barron Top Fun Farm Donemana Strabane Co. Tyrone BT82 OJD ON THE 9th SEPTEMBER 2012 There will be classes for Lurchers , Terriers , Whippets, Gundogs & Hounds as well as a childrens handling class Also there will be a family Pet Show The 32 Counties Champion of Champions will be run after the open show.     Thanks Wetnoseman for reminding me about the under 21s. i only put up random results,most of the time I get all of them, but sometimes I dont. I am far from perfect, but I do my best. I know you have a hatred for me Wetnoseman, but I do not think that way about you or anybody. I was brought up in the backwoods of Monaghan, and was taught to respect everybodys point of view and to have respect for all law abiding citizens.     Birr Castle is a large Castle in the town of Birr Co Offaly, The Castle is the seat of the Earls of Rosse, the Seventh of whom still lives in the castle to this day. There has been a Castle on this site since 1170. From the 14th to the 17th century the O'Carroll family was in residence.     At most shows I have been at this year there was a vetern class. But at most of those shows veterns were not allowed in the final. A few shows did allow them. Dont know why they cannot take their place in the final. ? After all in their lifes they have proved themselves over and over again. Why should they be thrown on the scrap heap because they have got a little age on them. I dont agree with pups. At that young age they need to prove themselves both in the field and in the ring.to take their place with the greats. Have a puppy Champion ok,but no further than that. Just my opinion.

    Barrontop Fun Farm is located in the West of Northern Ireland and sits on Co Tyrones eastern edge of Lough Neagh,overlooked by the majestic Sperrin mountains.     A few miles outside the Village of Clough, Co Down and set in the shadow of the beautiful mountains of Mourne, was the venue for the annual Shannagh Working Terrier Club Dog Show last Saturday. The sun shone in abundance, with not a cloud in sight as we made our way through the winding roads and beautiful countryside of this wonderful home land of ours. Although the crowd was medium size in attendance, the craic and commaradrie was good. There were many of the usual show goers there, but also quite a few new people whom I had the pleasure of meeting on the day.There was a chip van and t
