    I have been asked by the organisers to let you know Shannagh Working Terrier Club is holding their annual dog show on Sunday the 19th August at Clough Downpatrick Co Down.( The venue will be on the Clough/ Newcastle Road.) As soon as I get a Post Code I will put it up on this site. All the usual Classes and Racing for lurchers,Terriers, and Whippets. * Please Note * This show will be the last chance to qualifiy for the Mourne All Ireland Digging Competition . Margaret Mc Stay

    Getting nearer the weekend, 3 great shows on this weekend. Hope the weather keeps up. Dont forget to make your choice, and get the car, vans and trailers ready on Friday night. John brought our trailer down to the garage today and got the axel tightened up. Lads its worth checking this part of your trailer out, because the axel can come loose and break,which happened to a friend of ours coming from a show last year.It happened on a bad bend, and narrowly missed a bad accident. This is something we would not of thought of doing, but we do it now. Hope to see you all somewhere at the weekend

    Feaghbridge Dog Track, is situated on the outskirts of Coalisland Co Tyrone, and lies on the shores of Lough Neagh This dog track is purpose built, and is primarily designed to be the ultimate test for the racing dog, whilst at the same time offering one of the safest tracks in the country for dogs to run on. Many champion racers over the years started their training at Feaghbridge, and went on to win their place in the history of the Canine world..     * PLEASE NOTE AS A MATTER OF URGENCY * For Showing or Racing Can all Clubs North and South of the border in Ireland please pm or email winners of shows this year and reserve winners , to Barry Holland or Joe Boggs or simply ring them, as anybody that won or will win a show, either in Showing or Racing, is a qualifer for the 32 County Champion of Champions in September 12. Please send in Reserve winners also, so if the show winner cannot attend, then the reserve will be eligible to take part.     Had a great days craic yesterday at the Sporting Whippet Club of Northern IrelandS Dog Show held at Dunsilly Kennells, Belfast. The weather was just OK, but still did not rain to we were on our way home. It was nice to see such a good turnout of Whippets. The amount of Whippet pups in the ring this year is just amazing, and all top quality pups. The whippet breed has really taken off over this last 5 years. Back then when you went to an open show you were lucky if you seen 5 or 6 whippets in the ring. Now there is 14 and some times 18 or 19 in the ring at a time. Its just brilliant to see thi
