    Well Said Albert, Neill, SAM, and Paul and all the loyal supporters around our national globe, keep our Country Sports going, and the National Game Fair at Birr Castle is the place to show our strenght within the law, and stand staunchly behind Rise and IWTF on the day and in front of a packed audience of Sportsmen and Women who love Country Sports whether it be in the fields ,rivers,lakes,or Woodlands of Ireland and further a field.     Tully Castle , Enniskillen, overlooking Lough Erne was the venue for the local Festival and Dog show last Saturday 11th August 2012. This impressive Castle is the remains of a fortified house and bawn, and is set on beautiful Tully Point. The Castle was first documented in 1619, shortly after being built for the Hume family, who lived there until 1641. However, the castle was attacked and burned on Christmas Eve in 1641, and it has never been lived in since. For the past 350 years it has remained ruined and desolate. In the 1970s the site was cleared of ivy and growth revealing the paths

    So delighted your show is changed to this Saturday 18th August. We will all be there to support the show. This will be another great family day out, and a great days craic. On top of that the digging competition is taking place at this show, and will be the last qualifer for the all Ireland digging Competition at THE IRISH GAME and Country Fair at BIRR CASTLE on the 25th and 26th August 2012. So pack up the car,get the trailers hitched on, with dogs and family in tow and head for Shannagh Dog show this Saturday.. See you all there. Margaret Mc Stay

September 16th The Sporting Whippet Club Northern Ireland at Dunsilly Kennells , Co Antrim September 16th Roscrea Working Dog Social Club annual dog show takes place Sunday 16th September at 12Noon at Limerick Road Roscrea. All classes for Terriers ,Lurchers, Whippets, Gundogs etc. This show is a qualifer for the Five Nations at Birr 2013 and the Master Mc Grath at Shanes Castle 2

    Borris House was the unique venue for the National Country Fair Dog Show last Sunday the 5th of August 2012. Borris House in County Carlow is foremost a home, lived in by the MacMorrough Kavanaghs, for the past 550 years. Both the house, family and estate are steeped in history. Originally Borris House was an important Castle guarding the River Barrow. But in 1731 Borris House was rebuilt and altered by the architectural dynastic family, The Morrisons, chiefly Richard and William. This was the beautiful surroundings for the National Country Fair, Dog show and Racing at Borris last Sunday.

    Yes Liam (Young Man ), definately will be at Birr. Just cannot wait. Always a great weekend. Really was glad to see you enjoying yourself on Sunday, and I am sure you enjoyed out with Jed yesterday. You were a great help at the racing,and a joy to be around.
