    Saturday 6th April 2013 Dessie Mackens Show All roads lead to the first show of the year this Saturday 6th April 13. Dessie Mackens Show and Race day will take place this Saturday 6th April 2013. All the usual classes and Racing will be on the menu. Usual Venue,the field on the Banbridge/Gilford Road. Measuring for Racing will start at 10.00am, and entries will close at 11.15am for Racing to commence at 11.30am sharp. Showing will commence immediately after the racing. Dates filling up fast Sunday 14th of April 2013 Drangan Harriers Working Dog Show at Drangan,Thurles, Co Tpperary. Lurcher racing and all the usual clases. Racing will take place before and after showing .Racing will begin at 11. Showing will take place at 12:30 Attractions for the whole family Same location as last year. *Please note :A digging competition will also take place on the day . Entry on the day.     I made enquiries as promised First Cross about the beer tent for you, and the answer is no. Sure I am sure you could stick a few cans in the boot in the cold box and you will enjoy them just as much as the beer tent.

    Saturday 4th May 2013 Fiona Devlin is holding her annual Dog Show on Saturday 4th May, at Dessie Mackens show venue grounds on the Gilford/Banbridge Road, by kind permission of Dessie Macken. A very special attraction at Fionas show this year will be Ferret showing and Ferret Racing. I cant wait to see that.     Mixedgrill, Roscrea is in Co Tipperary right in the shade of the beautiful Galtee mountains in the South of Ireland.. What a beautiful part of Ireland. I was at the Racing there last year, and honestly it is a great day out. Some great dogs race down there.
