Ian, I was a little disappointed this evening, Bill Beckett was on Radio Ulster this afternoon ,promoting Moira Game Fair. In my estimation, he gave a good pitch for the Game Fair inside the Arena. He mentioned, and including a Russian en route from Kildare, clay Pigeon shootong, Fishing ,Birds of Prey and Scruffs Pet Dog Show, all inside the arena, but he never once mentioned the Good Lurcher, Terrier and Whippets men and women that are also going to have their dog show as part of the Game Fair, albeit outside the perimetre of the show grounds. Whats wrong. Why couldent he include our show

Located in the South Eastern corner of Northern Ireland, Mourne is the land of stunning views , natural beauty, lots of sheep on the mountain side, and a patchwork of green fields . As in the beautiful song of our own Percy French “Where the Mountains of Mourne Sweep Down to the Sea” it was in the lap of these majestic mountains that the now famous Mourne Dog Show , Racing and Digging day took place last Sunday 19th May 13. The venue for the Dog Show is superb, as it runs along side the beach between Newcastle and Kilkeel and is surrounded by the rolling blue sea no matter what an

I have had a few complaints from our good Terrier men, that the dog shows are not having Terrier Racing anymore. Some very angry men and women out there. I am making a request on behalf of the Terrier Racing fraternity, to all show organisers, please think about bringing back the good old Terrier Racing as part of you racing programme. These wee dogs generates so much interest, fun, and excitement when they are racing. Should Terriers wear Muzzles when racing, like big dogs do ??? Margaret Mc Stay
