  1. Hi mate, you can watch 14mins of it on youtube search:- Lurcher V fox and deer 2003 pre ban! Thats if it is still there, not a bad watch if your into that sort of thing. Cheers Pernod
  2. Once the royal wedding bandwaggon picks up speed, we will see f**ck all else in the media. This is what i think of it. Cheers Pernod
  3. IF its a good worker just put up with it mate. Hi mate, what age is the bitch, she sounds like a nervous biter. if its mature i dont think much can be done for it. If you can put up with it then all the best, personally it would have to have other exceptional traits, or im afraid it would be history. I could put up with a bit of fighting, but a biter i dont think i could keep. Cheers Pernod
  4. Hi again mate, yes mine is indeed very puppyish, he has also became a wee bit headstrong, but these are things that will iron out over time. His recall and retrieving have taken a bit of a step back. He lives indoors, the first dog we have had inside, and he can be a bit of a pest at times. He steals everything he can get his mouth to and can be a wee bit annoying if he is bored. I walk him between 2-4 miles per day but this has no effect on his energy levels, he is 100miles per hour at everything he does. I put this down to the collie in him, and i cant wait for him to settle down a b
  5. Hi mate, My pup is the same breeding, whippet X collie/grey, he is 7.5 mths old and 24ins tts. I dont think he will grow much more, but is the ideal size i'm after. They will be big enough for most quarry. Yours in sport Pernod
  6. Hi mate have you ever had a dog?? serious question, there is a wee bit of a difference between dogs and humans. Is this a follow on from your other post, stating that raw turns dogs/ferrets into savage killers due to the blood lust. Get a grip FFS. dogs are carnivores. Yours in sport Pernod
  7. This place always brings a smile to my face. This has got to be a regular on the wind up.. very good. I dont believe for 1 minute anyone is this stupid. Well i'm off to prepare the dogs salads, dont want them turning into stock worriers. Yours in sport Pernod
  8. Hi mate, re read the original post. The guy is offering to gift them to a youngster, at 22 do you really consider yourself a youngster?? these are meant for a young guy/girl, who is perhaps starting out. No offence meant but at 22years old, buy your own. Yours in sport Pernod
  9. Take a chill pill mate, Here was me being all apologetic for making light of you and your dogs plight. Well i retract that now. Of course forums are here to help and share information. But as the last two posts I read of yours concerned smegma around a knob and a beg for someone to take you out hunting, I think i know exactly who the clown is. Yours in sport Pernod
  10. Suppose so, when you put it like that... Nae bother mate, It must be this collie cross pup i've got, its driving me to distraction, making me a bit more critical than usual. cheers Pernod
  11. Why is that question pointless or embarrassing? The question and the answers will educate any novice who reads it as well as the person asking. Don't see the point in having a forum like this if you're made to feel a tit for asking about basic dog healthcare. Be a very shite forum if all you had was pages of 'Show us yer Bull x' threads... Hi mate i did apologise to the guy for making light of his question. Of course sites like this are ideal for genuine health and welfare questions. but lets get real a bit of smegma around a dogs knob, lets get real FFS. Again sorry to anyone i o
  12. Hi mate, Just kiss it better. Sorry mate, but on a serious note, have a wee read up on dogs, healthcare etc, it will save you asking pointless embarassing questions. cheers Pernod
  13. Hi mate, If you know a few people locally, do they not own good dogs, could you not get one off them??? Believe it or not you dont have to be well known to have good mutts. The very dog your looking for could be right under your nose. Cheers Pernod
  14. Hi there, am not being funny but try the search function, there has been a few posts about kennel setups, I think that will get you a quicker response.(there were some excellent setups) Cheers Pernod
  15. Hi mate, As mentioned in one of the posts above, the sitty tree is the way to go. I used to do a lot of decoying when i was younger, we had lots more sport out of trees than on the ground. Your normal shotgun decoy pattern will bring pigeons in, but it can be very hard to get a shot off with the air rifle before they fly off. By far it is better to have a pattern out in a field in front of some trees, the pigeons usually(not always) land in the trees long enough for you to get a shot off. Even better is to put a couple of decoys up in the trees if they are bare enough.I have had a lot ou
  16. heres mine, Whippet X collie/grey. 7 months old about 24tts. Cheers pernod
  17. why the mans only looking for ideas as to what cross could do it Hi there I know the man/boy is only asking for ideas, but are folk really that dim that they dont know the types of crosses that excell at bigger game. I think not. Cheers Pernod.
  18. Jesus Christ, This place gets worse, your wanting another dog because you'd feel guilty puting your dog out in a kennel without a friend. FFS get it a cuddly toy. Pernod
  19. I think you need to take a chill pill, quoting both the weight and height of the dog gives a better idea of the dogs proportions, photographs can some times be either flattering or unflattering, the tape and scales dont lie. Cheers Pernod
  20. GOOD LUCK WITH HIM MATE WHAT IS HE TTS Hi mate, Hes 24tts and about 45lb. He started out perfect, till about 5mths old, now he is very headstrong and needs a bit of 'hands on' to keep him under control. Cheers Pernod
  21. Hi mate, Heres Lubo collie/grey X whippet, Hes 7 months on monday, i'm looking forward to some sport with him, hes by far the most intelligent dog i have ever owned, mind you hes also the most hyper and frustrating dog i have ever clapped eyes on. Hopefully lots of work will sort him out. Cheers Pernod
  22. Hi mate are you saying you shouldn't feed pups raw food?? Have you ever had a dog ??? Please elaborate!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! Cheers Pernod
  23. Hi there, I love hearing the bull cross boys having a moan. Its a bloody fox for fu** sake. I had ( and i knew of a few others) a patterdale terrier 23lb fit that killed about 90% of the foxes he reached. your dogs are 50 - 90 lb FFS. And the terrier was never doubled up, sure he never had to course them but he killed them in claustrophobic conditions.Time for a reality check I think. Yours in sport Pernod
  24. Hi mate, A similar thing happened with a couple of my terriers a good few years ago. These two terriers were 100% safe with sheep, would walk through them without turning an eye. One day up on the hills a sheep was stuck on its back, dogs were loose, my mate righted the upturned sheep, and my 2 terriers and 1 of my mates dogs tore after it and brought it down. after quite a bit of a struggle getting them off, the sheep ran free with all the terriers screaming their heads off on their couples. it took me months to get them back to being safe with sheep, but it can be done. I put it down t
