Never owned one, never will. Shot one, wouldn't group less than 4 inches I think at 50 yards, didn't try it at 100, didn't think it'd hit the A4 page. Tried about 7 different types of ammo in it. Told the young lad to bring it back and throw it in over the counter at the twat that sold him it. Pure piece of sh1t, he'd have been better off buying a shotgun. Agree that sounds like a dog, don't blame the concept though it was just a bad rifle/scope. I don't target shoot with it but when zeroing at 100 yards its usually around 2" grouping which is fine for bunnies.

Nothing wrong with a semi auto if you look after them I have a Rugar 10/22 and I can just as easily take a 100 yard bunny as my mate can with his Anchutz, the only difference being while he's cocking the bolt to recycle another round I can easily and accurately have got off another couple of shots. Now that may not be important to you and I concede if we were punching paper targets the Anchutz would get better groupings but I use mine to hunt and very rarely do I miss with it. I was only just saying the same yesterday. Standing a fair way back mind! lol. The old footage of the different tests they did is amazing. It just draws you in. I know after the atmospheric tests there was some treaty drawn up basically banning detonations in space but you might have thought they would have carried out the odd test further out into the solar system, there's enough radiation out there to not give a shite about a bit more. Unless you wanted to live like a hunter gatherer/nomad travelling from place to place the key to survival IMO is a community of people banded together. Just one family in a home would eventually be over run or forced out.

And I ask again what shoot is this? If it is as badly run as suggested others should be warned. I don't know how much you've paid Leethetree but I bet it wont be cheap for a driven pheasant syndicate, you could save someone following in your shoes the same problem. Edited to add. When Im away with work I use face time on Apple iphone, that way I still get to see the kids and they get to see me. Skypes another way also but not sure how this is set up. At the end of the day dont beat yourself up about it remember your doing this to provide for your family in the 1st place, just make sure the time you do spend with them is the best time ever ATB

Agree nothing wrong with it at all but I wouldn't want my child to be embarrassed by some left wing Citreon driving teacher stopping her half way through her show and tell. I would speak to the teacher prior, NOT to ask permission but to say this is the show and tell subject your daughter is wanting to present and does the teacher have a problem wih the topic. That's only if the show and tell is to include shooting if not surely the feathers etc that's just nature trail stuff? Just my opinion ATB
