the best allround dog on the lamp i seen was a saluki/whippet/grey nothing would get away from this bitch,speed to burn,great turn,fantastic mouth,could run all night,would take the lot was game out,could all so kill daytime hares,was not an out an out fox dog,but took her fair share,would have liked to seen a good 5/8 3/8 bull over would have been some cracking pups.

like to have abit cover behind me allright..but we did call a few in when we were out in the open with a full moon,if there hungry they will come.

from them pictures id say theres definately saluki in there,a lad i hunt with has a bitch identical markings same black masck,and she is saluki/hound x collie/hound/deerhound,fairplay to you for takeing her in i hope she turns out a topper for you.

as pigeonman said leave him hunt away once he is on the line of something,if he is not hunting something and just acting the tit wanting 2 be up ahead of you all the time then you need to work on his recall as that can be a pain in the ass having a terrier 70 yards ahead of you scaring game away and bolting game that the lurcher and other dogs wont have time 2 get on 2,

if your dog is on a hot scent why would you want to call it off,as you state you want it for bushing so let it hunt, and call him in when he is not on the line off something.

i had a dog ripped all the muscles in his shoulder the same as your,s muscle man said 3 mth,s rest and he,ll be fine he made a full recovery so dont give up yet .get him to b.jones he,ll give him a full going over and not rip u off atb. its geting better slowly i have hear on metacam,an stuff called odzon its like a liquid you massage on does all the tendons muscles and joints so hopefully she should make a full recovery as she will have the whole summer off,where is b jones based have you a contact number, cheers

thats lurchers for ya liam my own bitch is laid up the last month had a right nasty fall coursing a fox her front right leg got pushed right up behind her back if you get what i mean,had her to greyhound man checked her, he reckons she tore all the muscles and tendons in the shoulder had to go to the vet then to get a cert for what he recomended 2 give her,she still doesnt seem right on it after spending 200,have to give her another week now if its still not right have to get it x rayed another 100,dont care about the money once i get her right she was turning in to a good fox dog an all

at that age size and weight if its leting them go doesent look good bud,u want them to fired up when they get caught not let go,it will all ways tell ya what u need to no about a dog when it gets caught good for the first time,saying that i have seen some dogs come back from it but i would never class them as good fox dogs ,id give him a good break now as you should as the season is over anyway,get him at it at the start of the season try and get him on some green foxs on his own and you will find out if he has the heart of not,hope he works out for you.

how do you think it compares to the standerd lamp,alot of people are saying the take to long to come on,are awkward to hold,and make a terrible buzzing noise.
