  1. on the other hand if you get a collie/grey or a beddy grey if you ever want to use it for anything else i.e retriving bigger quarry then you got best of both worlds!! atvb
  2. get a small lurchur mate, beddlington whipped or a 3/4 whippet 1/4 collie will perfect for ferreting
  3. never seen a bull cross that could catch a good winter daytime hare, and if it did by some misfortune;the hare running into something:it would be eaten before you could get to it,but all the butch tyro hunters will all be off to the fens now you've told them where they are, bull crosses are not running dogs, they're fighting dogs i disagree! ive seen plenty of well bred bull x's retireve shot hares! week in week out! on proper hare ground wiralcountryman...i will not be drawn into admitting that my dog will kill hares with antis on this forum, use your f*kin brain you prick, har
  4. have read it and i think its another good article from cln david hancock,a very educated man imo, what didnt you like about it? thought it was a decent well written article...nice pics guys.
  5. non of that is realy suprising in a world where a if a burgular falls on a knife while he is robbing your home he can claim against you!! its all a joke,iv been pulled by coppers and been sent home and been pulled and been told by them that there was loads of rabbits in the field round the corner!! some are ok some arnt.this lot is a joke thow.the have nothing better to do on a night than trying to harras a couple of lads trying to catch a rabbit!! atvb alex
  6. i thought the colours were a bit like a fox hound....not a easy one.oh well as long as he meets your needs!! Markings on him ,give him a look like' theres a bit of foxhound in there, cant figure out what height he is from the pic maybe a bit of whippet, shit man i dont know. clutching at straws here..
  7. ...take down charlie single handed pre ban, they is loads of people who love mikes dogs and some that dont.hope you find what you are looking for mate.

  8. yer no worries mate.i dont own a whippet and probably never will because the ground i run on is too hard and they are too soft skinned to me.theres a lot of people redy to slag mikes stock off.thats there opinion.the dogs iv seen run that have come from him have been top knotch and imo they are good strong dogs at fair prices,he still works his dogs and there are a 1 or 2 of his dogs that would..

  9. never seen a bull cross that could catch a good winter daytime hare, and if it did by some misfortune;the hare running into something:it would be eaten before you could get to it,but all the butch tyro hunters will all be off to the fens now you've told them where they are, bull crosses are not running dogs, they're fighting dogs the bull x has its uses as much as any other lurchur and has earnt its place in the lurchur world.mine has never killed a rabbit yet, always been retrived perfectly life enough to release if you wanted to.he would also retrive a shot hare if i wanted him to without
  10. alright mate,i just noticed that you had written on my wall thing, sorry it so long to reply.put mikes whippets into google and it will come up.you woant go far wrong mate.

  11. this is one of them posts that no one will reply to.you havnt been on the site long.you have no profile picture and your asking for digging photos in the middle of a hunting ban if you are genuin then get your photos up! if you are a anti (which im not saying you are at all) you would do well to remember that a fox will dig its way into a chicken coop and kill the lot and maybe take 1 !!!! atvb
  12. alright mate,i put this exact topic up a few weeks back as my mate had just bought one.he has got it now and its a cracking looking little pup with good sized feet, only has a touch of bull in it.its sire was a saluki grey, around half saluki half grey merlin and eve lines and a well bread 3 1/4 grey 1/4 bull dam so its got every chance of turning out well as long as he puts the time in.i imagine it to be a bit head strong thow but we will have to see.ill try and get him to post some pics of her.atvb
  13. i hope you find a good home for this dog, looks nice and should make someone a decent hawking tool,if we still had birds i would of seriously considered it but i havnt got enough work for the spanials that iv alredy got!she looks to be closer to the 18-20 inch mark from the photo.i might be wrong.atvb with the sale, lovely dog for the money
  14. colour will have no bearing on how dog will work as far as i can see,i got a fawn bullx and he is easier to see at night which is obviously a downside and dosent blend into cover verywell during the day,i never herd anyone say white dogs are no good apart from these reasons.to me breeding is more important than clour! atvb
  15. asbos dog looks a belter...i stand corrected.also i never realised there was only 2 pups,im sure you will manage to get pet homes for them.i had a little collie type mongrel as a kid and my dad put her back 2 a border collie and i still got the grand daughter to this dog and one of the lads who i work with got the great great grand daughter that my old man bread.shame that will be end of this line in our family but like someone says cant beat a mongrel as a kid.use to catch rabbits and what not in the bushes.im not contradicting myself here because of asbos dog.its still not a x i would own bu
  16. i got just the neoprene lined ones,no zips,i wear them every single day and walk miles and miles in them at night,1st class, watch out thow because my mate bought some from chattsworth this year and it turns out they started making them in the east instead of europe and the looked like cheap coppies to me even thow they wernt, this was a reputable stand at chattsworth country fair.in my experience the ones with the full zips get clogged up with mud and eventually they all fu*k up,imo ok for the lads going and standing at a peg on a driven shoot but not for the serious hunter, hope this helps,u wo
  17. alright mate, dont no if you realised but you popped this post up in most sections but it all comes up in new content anyways so its on about 4 times, theres a bloke selling some luchurxrotti pups on here, might be right up you ally! edited to change spelling mistakes
  18. alright mate, chances of them been racey enough to catch anything is very slim.might be use as a draw dog or something, cant see them been much cop for owt really thow.sorry mate.shame really.hopfully you will find good pet homes for them but im not even sure who would want a lurchur x rotti as a pet.arr well mate, hope it all works out for you and them pups
  19. mine catches rabbits mate,he isnt right hevy but he isnt proper racey either but has no problems running them, always live and never a mark on them.
  20. i had this conversation with a mate of mine who has just got a saluki bull grey pup and we both agreed that its a big risk incase the pup starts yapping.the same lad has got a whippet that he has started doing more with since he lost his lamping bitch and needed a dog to work while his pup was old enough because the whippet was just a pet and a mooching dog...anuways that yaps [bANNED TEXT] it isnt running and sometimes when the rabbits his the cover it will yap and its right annoying and ruins a decent dog! hope this helps.
  21. ill keep an eye sheffield way on mate.hope it turns up!
  22. i saw 5 int two nights, non of them were in range for a shot with the rifel thow thats probably most iv seen in two nights this season.
  23. nice looking tool mate.i got a bullx which is same, bit immature like,he was slaying rabbits before the snow and then i had him out other night and got a couple and then 2 nights later the bunnies were out in force and we were getting the squatters but he was overshooting them and all sorts, just going to keep getting him the runs and hopfully it will all come with experience.atb
