I'd have done the same! I came across a young munty buck with its head stuck in a fence not too long ago, it had seen me and the dogs bolted out of a bramble covered ditch and ran straight into the fence that was next to a wood. Iv seen a few hit fences after panicking but they usually bounce of and run up the fence line or suss it out and hurl themselves over but this one got his head proper stuck, so I tied up the dogs got it out which was a struggle (theyre f***ing strong them bucks) and give it a kick up the arse so it didn't run back at me. The dogs were looking at me in disgust l

Shooting pet cats with pellets is a c**ts trick!!! Crossbows are far more efficient I find...

I'm 99% sure your legally allowed to jab your pets yourself!! So if you just bought the boosters/ferret jabs etc do it yourself...

Brilliant!!

If they were well bred they'd be trying to get stuck into anything with fur ffs!!!
-
I don't bother listening to a thing they say!! Useless bunch of fucktards.... There's no pigeons down my street anymore, wonder what happened to them all ; )

I wish a film crew would follow a set of badgers here like that and get footage of them eating more than bloody earth worms!!

Yep they're tough animals, take a terrier the size of my bulldog to dig one of them!!

Yes mate ive got a staffy and when did i say anything about putting him in any situations? he doesnt get the chance to do anyting but i firmly believe that just because he is a bull breed he will not one day snap and want to fight anything that moves thats what i was getting at in my original post. That is an unbelievably naive comment......do you think your couple of years " hard work " as you put it.....removing the trait........can overide the 100+ years it took to stamp the trait in their in the first place ? Well yes i do, never said anything about removing the trait, but i dont thin

No honey badger it's an American badger!

If you have a bull breed and put it in situations where it could end up in a fight then you are to blame if the dogs kicks off! Like letting it run loose down the local park alongside strange dogs, even if the other dog starts it its still your fault and not the other persons dog as you should have been in control of your dog knowing what you potentially have, That doesn't just go for bulls I'm like that with all my dogs... The majority of trouble Iv had or witnessed has been from Middle aged women walking labs or huskys off lead not people walking staffys etc as most of them my way seem t

Thanks, not something I'm planning on doing just yet but after checking their site I'll definitely give them a call.

Cheers Mike I'll give em a go, the AA's were what the bloke who I got the gun of recommended and they seem to be spot on. I was thinking of maybe putting the ultra barrel on in the future to shorten in up as I can drive my permission so can shoot out the motor and having the shorter barrel will give me more manoeuvrability, anyone know wether that would hinder accuracy at all ?

Just got into shooting air rifles, shot springers before a few times but just got myself a T10 for my first proper air rifle!! I'm hitting everything and anything at good distances too, great fun. I'm using AA Diablo Fields .22 Neck shot as it looked straight at me so I dropped the cross hairs a touch, around 35 yards. Anyone else shooting a T10 ?
-
Mate have you owned a bull breed ?
-
I love my T10!!! Very accurate over long distances too. What pellets you using ? I use air arms Diablo fields

You sound like the right type of person to own such an animal........those who are in denial should not be allowed to own one full stop ! Iv just got a brain between my ears mate, unlike the majority of bull breed owners!

I keep a bull breed, not a fighting breed per se but a breed that is more up for a scrap than most and definitely able to inflict serious wounds to another animal quickly. Because of that I have adequate leads and collars and even though he is a very well socialised steady dog accidents can and do happen so I'm respectful of that and don't let him run with dogs down the local park, I do my best to avoid them if anything. It really is that simple, now if everyone else did the same 90% of accidental dog fights would never happen.

Sorry mate but i fail to see that little bit of bull in the dog has caused it to be against other dogs, i think this is where the problem lies with people being against bull breeds, i think its the owners fault there dogs dont like other dogs as if they are brought up and accustomed to dogs from a young age they will be fine, you carnt just blame that little bit of bull gene on his aggressionI disagree there, some dogs can be socialised and be sound with dogs then they get to a certain age and bang your once playful bull breed is now full blown dog aggressive and wants to fight everything. Not

Anyone else's dogs or dog know when someone they like is coming up the drive or is just about to knock at the door ? My old retriever as a kid was great, if one of my mates or my old man was coming home she'd be at the door wagging her tail then 5 mins later they'd knock or come in. And it wasn't as if they were opening a gate etc as when people she didn't know came to the door she'd just stay put...never had a dog like it since!

What Do You Do With Your Dog Shit?
j1985 replied to talt's topic in Working Dog Health & Training Talk
I catapult it a few gardens down, can be tricky with the runny ones but the misses just hoses me down if it gets a bit messy. But sometimes I put it down the manhole!
