I must admit the vet i use was very good & said the same its rare for a ferret to have difficulties when birthing so it was a bit of a novelty to him , but i think the service i got & what i was charged was superb & it no doubt saved her life

Do let us know what you think off it, i live in a village & have only ever passsed through a city before so have never done any shopping or anything in one, but i must admit i kind off like the village life & quiet, i should speread me wings & explore really but its all so big

I worked at a sheet metal factory when i left school & next door was a place that turned the fat into scratchings & the smell was gross :sick: it put me off them things for life

Well if vixens having a phantom pregnancy that explains why, i had 3 jills all run with a vasectomised hob here yrs ago & one of them was so maternal that a couple of castrated hobs ;lost weight & became depressed due to being constantly dragged round by the little minx, i had to house her alone till the late autumn due to the behavoiur

she will be wasting all her energy on rounding up the old ferrets thinking there her young and wont be looking after her young as she would if left on her own with them, at the end of the day its hard to raise a litter let alone the extra work shes trying to do I actually think thats a very valid point you bring up about her rounding up everthing in the court, i have never witnessed communal litters so dont really know how it works but i think what you say is logical really

Last year my jill had 1 live kit & after around 12 hours i new summat wasnt right, so i took her to the vets & she was found to have 1 dead one inside her, she behaved normally throughout & was given drugs to expell the dead one just something to bare in mind as she has only produced 2 so far, there could be more she cant pass

Well when my lurcher was alive he cleared the full length of a car to get to a cat , luckly the dog was captured quickly & the driver was not to badly effected by the incident
