No Military Intervention On Syria From The Uk
Born Hunter replied to swg dave's topic in General Talk
So who are the two sides going to be in this world war? Don't be soft, this is Syria, not fecking Russia. And I'll say it again, are there not terrorists on both sides of this conflict? The yanks seem convinced that the Syrian Gov' is responsible, it's time they shared this with the rest of the world. They have to take a hard line stance on such weapons, Iran's future actions with a potential Nuclear arsenal will in part be dictated by the US's response to this. -

I think that may test the UK-US relationship a bit too much. If undisputable evidence was brought to the UN that the Assad regime was responsible for the chemical attacks then I reckon British parliament may be changing their tune to save face. We could not just sit by while a Russian and American coalition took action! Madness! That requires considerable evidence of responsibility first though................ -
Maybe, but I wouldn't tell him that to his face! You and me both. LOL

Exactly, that's how I see it! LOL

I've found it difficult to dissagree with anything that man has said on this issue. Seems to be the voice of reason in all this. Wouldn't we look like utter fools if evidence was brought to the UN and a resolution backed by the Russians was enacted! I'd hope for the sake of our pride that sniveling little prick Milliband would change his tune. Well that's a bit catch 22 if you ask me, any UN action would need the approval of Russia anyway! But that's the significant part, the Russians have said they will do something that we won't, take action if evidence is provided. IMO that's ju -
Scotland's a beautiful country with a great history the more we can keep the f**k out the better, how can you be half Scottish lol your either Scottish or your not. Some lads just don't like the cold I suppose its something you've got to go out in if your keen enough, never phased me even as a kid but I suppose it separates the men from the boys. I can see the comparison though, hunting day or night in "bleak Scotland" as you put it with cracking views or in the dark not a streetlight to be seen or lamping at the back of a council estate in built up England, where the wind can't make yer wee f

Bullshit! That's wayyyyy too bold a move for the Russians. They want to stay out of all this shit not start a world war. -

It's not supposed to be fair. It's supposed to be tactical and clinical. You say the US is a Jewish pawn and yet the CIA consider the Jewish state one of their highest espionage threats, up there with Iran, Russia, China, N.Korea and Cuba. Not to mention Obama's stance on the state. I just don't buy it. And aren't there terrorists on both sides of the equation? -

Hardware has to be outside to be used, the US Navy will be flinging plenty of tomahawks when those opportunities arise. Soldiers won't be a concern of the yanks just hardware. Kinda shows how much the Syrian Gov' care for their own people though...... -
Personally I think we still have plenty to be proud of, but I don't neccessarily dissagree with what he has said either. I don't like how he implies we have nothing to hold pride in but then what is implied depends on the context, which isn't clear with this quote.

If young people had it drummed into them to start a pension from a fairly early age it would be a good start but of course the minute anyone who has a bit of wealth says this the bleeding heart socialists will be out crying. Start off with £1000 and contribute £100 per month with a fairly low return rate of 5% and by the time you get to 65 you'd have a reasonable £212,000 in your pension pot. Make it 150 a month and you'd end up with over £300,000. You say that Nick and it's a very fair point, but when you're young like me you're on the bottom rungs of your career ladder, buying yo

Six British Soldiers 'attacked New York Cop'

Well they'd have to be to get called a "black b*****d" would'nt they. Those Fijians can hold their own, as a couple did in the battle of Mirbat in Oman. -

Why should'nt these events be funded by the state? It's just a perk of the job. As for their behaviour, shit happens and they'll be dealt with. Life goes on. -
Im not jealous at all, there comfortable retirement is at the expense of someones barely acceptable retirement, and its being fought for by so called socialists. Fireman is a great job, many many people would love to do it. Its got great pay, great hours, great pension, even after its been changed, and even more important its secure. Compare that to a bricky, an office worker or a shelf stacker. Private sector pensions just dont cut the mustard in comparison. If firefighters are being shat on this much by pension changes then finish, vote with your feet. Get another job or just get your o
