Alright then, back to topic. I don't believe that the women involved in this deserve any sort of trial for "crying wolf". To take the attitude of "if you report a crime but the defendant is found not guilty, then you must be a lier" would completely destroy the foundations of our judicial system. That is the entire point of the CPS surely? Just because Roache was found not guilty doesn't mean he's innocent or that the women in question are liers. Rape crime has shite enough report and prosecution stats as it is without threatening victims with prosecution themselves if they can't prove the

Get in line Stranger!

Yeah, I know the sort. Ya wanna shake their fecking heads to re-calibrate their outlook on life because they really are capable of a lot more. Sweet girls but very missguided.....
-
Anyway, reading a few of the views on here, I wouldn't say she was raped but deffinately taken advantage of, something that would make me very uncomfortable.
-
Baw, she sounds like a weak willed girl who has used her pretty looks to make up for her lack of confidence and now sees men taking advantage of that as acceptable. I don't mean that nastily, I'm sure she's a sound girl, just missguided in her outlook on life. That's a shame, strength, independence and confidence are very attractive qualities in a woman, but nobody can 'fix' people that wont fix themselves. Anyway, 22 and gorgeous you say......... LOL.

It's alright Walshie..... they obviously don't test for Obsessively Compulsive Shit-Joke Dissorder.
-
A physicist that's highly obsessive-compulsive and schizoid................... shocker....
-
Fair play to her I say. You'd think she'd be slimmer though doing an activity like that...... I mean to get to that standard she's got to be doing it a few times a week, most of those girls a dead athletic and basically gymnasts. It's a fact she must be a strong fecker hauling all that around a pole!
-
I'm sure that's a good deal you're offering but these days with that tubular sectional kenneling a bit of rope and a broom handle would bust you in. Half the latches are hinged on a 10mm bolt that could easily be sheared off with a hammer.
-
These are so predictable now........ I still have to watch them though.

My FLO said out of 700+ applications he's only granted one chap a cf first time round and that was because he had done his DSC1 and had 10'000 sapling trees to protect. Told me to put in for a variation for cf and open ticket in a year with as much relavent experience & references as possible to support it. Dunno what policy is exactly? I've always had the impression that it's a subjective matter which each force interprets different depending on local stats and experience.

. Ill tell you this i bet there is a vol team wanting to go in NO ONE GETS LEFT BEHIND Joking aside, I really wouldn't put it past the yanks to put some resource into getting the dog back. Even if just for the moral boost and news lines they'd get out of it.
-
The Yanks are probably briefing a SEAL team as we speak. I really wouldn't put it past them. LOL Poor animal.
-
Oh yeah, that and my hippy nuclear dissarmement banner. Can't leave home without either Scot. LOL And if I was taking anything for entertainment value, it'd be Olya Abramovich....... Russian women are so hot! I'm sure she'd love my ramblings about the cold war and the red army threat! LOL

You have to spend 6 months on an island and you choose to take 5 dudes with you! You got something to tell us mate?
-
I did this the other day. I like simple stuff, hate plucking and dressing birds. Skin the bird and draw it. Half an onion inside with a knob of butter. Smother the bird in butter as well and cover with a couple rashers of bacon. Then roast for under 20mins at 180ish.

Preaching to the choir Max! LOL Dunno about the Conservatives dismantling the UK......... Labour would gladly see that happen though.
-
Max, we don't need to compete pound for pound with China and Russia etc, that's the point in military alliances. But we must remain credible and capable of upholding our responsibilities. We are getting to the point of a critical mass and it's threatening our ability to effectively defend our interests.
-
You assume I'm from privilege...... and that I'm a Tory and that I have private health care...... I see our needs in terms of defence differently to you. I see our defensive needs at a minimum right now. Tell me what you want from our Military? I've told you what I want, so tell me how we can achieve that with further budget cuts? I also see how the country has gone soft and we've become accustomed to a standard of living that is uneconomical and unsustainable. Defence is less than 3% of the budget.
-
I agree with a happy medium. Trouble is my happy medium and your happy medium aren't the same. LOL.
-
old school. these are the future of air power You seen that thing they're developing at BAE? http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/BAE_Systems_Taranis That popped up on my FB news feed today! Mental bit of kit. Our very own home grown intercontinental unmanned stealth bomber!
-
Yeah, you're right.................... USAF Eagles by the look of it....... So, the US.
-
I'd be happy for the country not to have made a rod for it's own back with the welfare state we live in where 50% Gov spending goes to health & social care! Lets face it, a lot fo countries have nothing like the military we do. Why not go for that eh? Happy medium.......... that's great untill things become unhappy! Which they historically have every 30 years or so.
-
And I don't see defence spending being a significant cause of that. We spend something like 2-3% GDP on defence. Something I consider essential at the level we have currently. But that's where we hit an impasse.
-
I think the standard of living here is significanlty better than that in India. Aye for sure but that's more to do with corruption than wealth. Anyhow mate, I believe we should have a nuclear defense, a military defense but I'm not frightened of cutbacks. I'm sure the figure crunchers know what they are doing. I just see that we are at a very critical point in our capability. And I don't see the world as the safe place a lot of others seem to do. There IS going to be a shift in power, we've known that for a few years. That shift will comes with a lot of conflict. I don't want to see
