  1. Depends on more than just what they release but it doesn't sound bad on the face of it. I'd sort of expect 4+ days shooting out of that but only really expect to shoot a dozen game birds/fowl over those four days plus vermin. I'd want to know how many days you'll be shooting, how many are in this rough shoot, what's a typical bag (woodcock, snipe, rabbit, pigeon etc) and is the land the sort of land I'd enjoy rough shooting over. Personally I'd pay a lot more than 250 for a nice bit of rough shooting for the season, so if you like what you're hearing go for it. Worse case, you do a sea
  2. LOL, okay if that's what you want to believe. Doesn't make a gnats cock of difference to me personally. And I'd bloody well hope he does have a spin doctor, it'd be great if the electorate were objective and politics was purely based on logical thought but it's a fact that appearance is everything! Even the most useless leaders know that.
  3. Risk to cost analysis.... Historically Ebola has been very containable due to the fact it's not airborne and it's short incubation period. 3rd world countries don't have the highly connected population centres to spread it and 1st world countries have the infrastructure and technology to contain it. Fact is someone has considered the risk of a pandemic outbreak and the cost of isolating ourselves and decided it isn't worth it. If Ebola ever evolved into an airborne strain then we would all need to shit ourselves, lol.
  4. Anybody watching The Last Ship on Sky?
  5. Yeah it's suspect alright, but it always is until 10 years down the line and they're still together and loyal to each other. Life and love isn't perfect or regular and you don't have to justify your choices to any judgemental fuckers out there, but you do have to live with the consequences of them. It's shite when kids get involved and you're just a plain c**t if you used them to your own selfish desires, but that's life, it doesn't always go to plan and people do sadly let their emotions kid themselves. Not saying you're being judgemental Buttons, you seem like a concerned friend.
  6. "he couldn't run a piss up in a brewery" Actually, he's probably one of the few politicians that regularly does! LOL LOL
  7. Few years back it was bird flu that was supposed to kill us, now it's Ebola eh. LOL, I'll not lose sleep over it, you lot run to the hill with ya ration packs. haha
  8. It's making a difference folks, nearly 1000 signatures in 24 hours.
  9. Indeed it is. And we still know so little about biology really.
  10. It wasn't his laptop or helmet cam mate, it was one of the marines in his patrol. Regardless, imo no crime was committed and I think many feel the same way. The marine that the footage belonged to was under investigation for another unrelated crime by civilian police. His laptop was searched and that footage was found which started a completely new investigation.
  11. OTC, Blackman didn't do that. He didn't bring anything back with him, and in fact on the recording he quite clearly says that what happens should remain in that shithole. He was locked up because the British Gov try to paint a whiter than white image of our military campaigns when the reality of them is that we need ruthless men and the British military has been feared in part because we can call on them. When difficult jobs need doing we have regiments and corps that pride themselves on their exceptional ability to destroy those that choose to fight them. Those that want to fight with
  12. Sgt Al Blackman is a bootneck, a Royal Marine Commando. When on a tour in Afghan his patrol was redirected to check out the aftermath of an Apache engagement of insurgents. They found one, who moments previously was attacking ISAF forces, wounded by the Apache. Instead of administering first aid (as is supposedly required of our lads) to the all but dead insurgent the Sgt put a bullet in him and finished what the Apache had started. The only reason he got caught was because one of his patrol had a helmet cam which the downloaded footage from it was found by police after investigating that
  13. Yeah, I just found that out too, lol. If you have any other email addresses use them, should work then. If not, at least you have done your part.
  14. If you haven't already folks, consider this petition please to support one of our lads. http://epetitions.direct.gov.uk/petitions/56810 He did f**k all that we wouldn't expect of our lads if they get sent to face Islamists again... It closes in a month with 15k signatures short of the 100k.
  15. With your navigational record, that is entirely likely!
  16. not in the way Churchill did though The bread and butter product of Sandhurst is troop commanders mate. They don't just graduate to become brigadier generals. Lol. Personally, I'd give a Sandhurst man as a politician my attention.
  17. Churchill! Don't knock Sandhurst grads, they see front line service just like the men they command.
  18. One of the greatest leaders this country has ever seen was a silver spoon fed Sandhurst man. LOL
  19. It'd be f***ing mind blowing watching the Earth rise over the horizon of the moon! Seeing the visable cosmos in a way that nobody on Earth can..... It won't be long untill we are looking to exploit space in this way as a common experience rather than a unique rarity. Mining Comets for rare Earth metals as well will hopefully drive a revolution in space exploration! Before national competetiveness drove advances in space technology..... But that was short lived.
  20. A Russian Cosmonaut will take 2 paying customers to the moon and back in 2018! Not to actually land but a short orbit, sight seeing so to speak. It'll be the first time since the yanks went 40 years ago! For me that's pretty amazing, it'll signify a real historic moment in commercial space exploration. Maybe the future of space exploration will be led by capitalism rather than national pride/patriotism, which got us to the moon and then ended...
  21. "An attack on one is an attack on all", It'll mean all 28 NATO members will be obliged to support military action against the Islamic State. I don't think it means anything specifically has to happen but if the Alliance doesn't respond to such a thing pretty f***ing ruthlessly it'll weaken the safety that being a member state should bring. I'd expect full scale military action, if for no other reason than to show the world what NATO stands for. States like Russia, China, Iran and N.Korea would be watching such an event to see how unified and strong NATO responded.
  22. And also, let's not kid ourselves with why we are acting in Iraq again. Yes IS is a threat to our security but they're also a threat to our economy. Oil is the life blood of the world economy and that region produces most of it! Stability in the middle east is about more than terrorism.
  23. Mate, I'd let the f***ing paras loose on our streets, let MI5 point and 2 para tear the fuckers from their beds, water board the b*****ds and then bury them! But at the same time, I'll not just tar every Muslim a terrorist. I'll let our security services do that. I don't support punishing the innocent just because it's convenient to simplify it like that.
  24. I agree about the folks going out there risking their lives and their families hearts. Regards US military, there isn't a military on earth that carries their capability, never mind 30'000 islamists tearing about in hiluxs with dushkas. The only thing stopping them marching over the deserts of Iraq and Syria to vanquish ISIS is public opinion at home. The public don't want another proper conflict... so for the time being, a coordinated offensive using local ground forces supported by coalition assets will have to work.
