  1. Couple of dog cages, brand new and never used. need to collect from Solihull due to weight. Sizes are ;Large and medium £30.00 for the two Drop me a pm and we can arrange a meet
  2. what I ended up doing to stop the jumping was to grab my dogs paws and don't let go. Just a real gentle squeeze and keep hold of hem until the dog starts to pull away then repeat. If you are out or someone comes round put the lead on and run the lead under your foot and back to your hand, this prevents the dog from jumping up - really useful when you are out walking. He's good as gold now - well nearly ! Don't give in and keep at it, you'll get there in the end

  11. West Midlands Fire Arms Officer - " no problem, i'll grant you the ticket, just make sure that I have seen your cabinet in place BEFORE I receive notification you have bought a shotgun" Had the license three months before I even contemplated buying a cabinet......all different I guess

  16. Get a bottle of Almond essence (the natural one) and add a few drops, really makes a difference.
  17. Any advice on going back to basics. My Vizsla is now 10 months old and starting to go through the teenage years. Recall has never been fantastic and i've tried to only whistle when he is not distracted but even that is starting to diminish. Most of the advice seems to be to run after him and let him know what you are asking / expecting, the trouble is he sees this as a game and runs away ! If there is another dog within 500 yards he's off...only for a play but it's annoying and I don't want this to continue. The book I am reading on HPR training advises that most dogs have to go back t
  18. Crabbies Ginger beer....where's the gaviscon !!

  19. Mate, I'd just go for it. I put off applying for nearly 10 years for a few "mistakes" I made in the past. Nothing too serious but a few arrests for non violent (drunk and disordalies and a caution for threatening behaviour). I also had a course of beta blockers after a family death, i didn't mention this as I still view it as a bit of a rough couple of months rather than depression / medical. The firearms officer couldn't have been a nicer guy, I told him i'd been a "bit of a tit" a few years ago and he said he'd seen alot worse. He issued me a cert. within a week no problem. He didn'
