  1. Hi, What's the barrel length and L.O.P. Thanks
  2. Here's a few "pointers" from my experience. I have a WHV and these are the good points. Easy(ish) to train, mine is coming up to 24 months and he is already steady in the field, great nose (as you would expect) and loves retriving on land and water. He is a fantastic house dog and great with the family including kids. The bad points - really and I mean really....vocal. Although i have a WH i purposly picked the darkest one in the litter. He has hardly any coat and would easily pass as a smooth. The reason - WH have a bit of a stockier frame and are a little "harder" although neither br
  3. 28" inch barrel, in really good nick, cleaned after every outing. Barrels are fine inside and out and a couple of "hide dings" on the stock . Value £400, looking for a side by side with a 15" length of pull in similar condition. Will offer gun and up to £100.00 for the right gun. Based in Solihull and travel to Cambridge and N/W London. SWAP only
  4. Any pics of the side by side and what is the length of pull / barrel length cheers
  5. Guy's, any advice on stopping a dog during a shoot from chasing Hares and Rabbits ?. Appreciate i need to stop him before he goes but it's not always possible in the beating line. He is also still pretty young , 22 months and full of beans and testosterone !!!! Thanks, Belly

  7. it's very true......invest in fast glass rather than the body. I use my Canon AE1 just as much as the D (in other words..... my shotgun is not a Holland & Holland but it has a straight barrel and it goes bang just like a Holland & Holland ...go figure ?)
  8. £15.00 including postage - Excellent condition 1997 edition Paypal or collect in Solihull area
  9. First offer before it goes onto ebay. Bought this for my daughter and she doesn't like it !!!! Box is a little bit tatty but the rest is fine, includes batteries and all the bits and pieces. Infer red clay (use the foot pedal to launch the clay) and a "rabbit type" across the bottom. Digital score read out and pretty good sound effects. £18.00 including postage - paypal please or collect from Solihull Cheers Belly
  10. Hi x38, Really interested in the shooting you have available. BASC member, references are available from shooting club, local game keeper on 200 bird day shoot (where I beat)and most other sources. Have pretty much all the gear and very intersted. Aged 43 and very professional, careful on land and around live stock. be great to hear from you if the offer is still available. (your inbox is full so had to "go public" !!!!) Regards, Belly
  11. This is a real classic, I have had this since new and its gotta be 20 years old. The stock is stripped and waiting for some TLC ( I prefer it like this but ....) There are strap attachments (the stock one is stuck) the barrel has a couple of dinks and the blueing is generally fine for a gun of this age. This has been serviced at Sandwell air weapons every two years since purchased, last service was March 2011 and it is chrono'd at 11.6 (any trial welcome). I only use this on the flight pond at the end of the season and the odd day out in the field. Tend to use my HW100 or the shotty more.
  12. I'll put in my situation and hope it helps, this is my first Wire Hair and I am prepared to be "corrected" 1) House dog - I couldn't ask for more as a house dog, with my daughter ( 5 year old) he is magnificent, he adores human company and just wants to please. If you want a dog that you can be with when you want ...forget it. It's all or nothing in the house, he can be IS very vocal, never barks, just likes to "chat" !! Loves attention and loves to be around other dogs. Same advise as all breeds...socialise from day one. Great house dog and family pet 2) Working- 19 months and he

  15. Guy's I have a Webley Tempest in .22 flavour. This is in really good condition, regularly cleaned and lubed. You can see it is a right hand grip. I have really looked after this and it has only been kept in my game bag and used for despatch. I'm after some pigeon decoying gear net / decoys etc. I am valuing the pistol at £90.00 so the equivalent in decoy gear would be expected. I live in Solihull but can travel (within reason, say 50 miles max. I am advertising this on the pigeon watch forum so it's a first come first served........ Thanks, Belly
