    frozen boilies all the way for me,always been more productive using them, the only prob is they go out of fashion as it were,bait companys will not stop until they deem to have found the ultimate bait,it aint gonna happen,different waters different tactics,bait etc,i regularly stick with the old favourites,smokey mackerel and tiger nut boilies always seem to produce on heavily fished waters where the rest of the lake are using the newly released bait of the future lol just to add,you can only defrost and refreeze them three or four times so keep them all frozen and just take what you need ea

    i think we all want our dogs to give their all but sometimes even with correct training and entering some just don't make top grade,the difference between a good dog and average is not relevant for some as long as its good enough for them thats all that counts,we cant all have the best dog in the country whatever some people may tell you

    il be getting out any time now to be honest,seems round my area you can get a month or two in before the myxi hits then i tend to lay off certain areas for a while hitting other places not so readily infected

    cheers bud not realy tryed zigs but think i might in the next few weeks if we get the weather but knowing scotland we prob wont might try with some pop up artificials as im realy the only person that fishes the place and havent realy seen boilies although my two lake records have came from the exeact same spot on the island margin using a pellet toped with half a pop up iv used this method in the summer popped right up as much as 7foot,winter/colder months 2/3foot,as i say can be deadly where others are failing to catch,stick with it and trust the presentation it works very well imo

    a very bright pop up boilie on a zig rig mate,popped up around 2/3 foot,even further if need be,weed dependant) very good rig for this type of water imo and have used this method on many occasions in this type of situation,summer or winter rarely had a blank with it i would suggest something like these,easily visible,had most success on the purple ones
