SEAN 2 AT LOCAL SHOWS IN THE SUMMER. MIDLANDS AREA. THE FELLA HAS A 3/4 GREY X 1/4 APBT BITCH . HE PUT A PURE DEERHOUND OVER HER AND KEPT A DOG AND BITCH OUT THE LITTER. WHAT A PIAR OF CRACKERS THEY TURNED OUT TO BE. DONT GET ME WRONG I AINT SEEN THEM WORK. SO CANT COMMENT BUT THEY DONT HALF LOOK THE PART. NICE FLAT BACKS WITH GOOD LOIN. AND AS YOU CAN IMAGIN MUSCULAR THIGHS. BOTH THESE TWO ARE AT THE 30" MARK, THEY HAVE THE DEERHOUND COAT AND COLOUR. REAL NICE LOOKERS . TOMO

this is an interesting thread. but this has to be a first, Fieldmarshal starting a thread as you know Visa jacked last year early nov i think , but that was after she got tangled in an electrick fence. lucky for me i was away for 2 months after this and it has given her time to get her head back together. these last 2 weeks she has had 2 good runs at big rabbits in the day , she didnt catch , i didnt over do it just 1 run 1 day then left her another week then another run then loads of praise then home . hopfully she will be right for this september TOMO

yes i remember watching some footage of rabbits turning away from the snare in daylite. then when peg fired the gun scared them back to the wires. some very good footage and very clear to watch. yes i watch some very good bits of filming that peg did when i was up there. i said to him at the time he should realece them. loved the squirrel snaring as well TOMO

great advise there from skycat one other thing that people neglect is travling. asuming you can drive, take it out all the time in the car even if its just round the corner to the shops. i exercise my dogs behind my van on an old lane, 2 miles , twice a day it only takes 10 mins . this was ideal as i take the pup on the passanger seat ,

the trouble is mate you never know when that first season will come. my bitch tara 3/4 whip/grey 1/4 kelpie hasn't had one yet and she is 18 month old. and Visa my older dog didn't have her first till she was 2 years old

love ditch shitters answer . hes dead right how many of us avoid people with clipboards , evry time i see one in town i walk across the othe side. well i have actualy gone down this road ( forgive the pun) and so far got knowere. highways agency do look after the roads but they give difrent areas to diffrent management companies to look after and maintain difrent sections. so its these that you need to contact which is what i have done, of course im not after permision exactly as im after paying for my sevices. any othe pesters done this work? wouldn,t be bothered with all that work and then all the digging , you can catch them quicker and easier than that , and even lots more than you will get in a box , with a little thought , and its not with snares , if i showed this simple method , every rabbit box in the country would be obsolete practically overnight, the only person i showed this method to was woodga , and he could not believe how its never been thought of before , come on snare man tell us what it is. you cant tell the fella not to bother with all that work then not tell us this other method. im dying to know wha

i used to have 3 butchers who took a dozen each week in season,and an old boy who would take 50 plus, any week they were avalable. he sold them in working mens clubs and made a few bob,a lot of free beer and was known as the best poacher in the world .he,s dead now and the butchers have all closed down along with most of the working mens clubs, times have changed,if its not hal hal meat it wont sell in Leicester. micky thanks for that micky , you have givven me an idea . i work with one or two asian lads on the door. might get them to come and bless the rabbits and knock them out

love that description Juckler , i will use that again. we are lucky in that all the farms up there have good numbers of bunnys and there all in the dale bottoms . so as juckler siad its like lawn ferreting . that said i would now like to get a bit on the moor tops, so it encourges the dog to hunt up. as the rabbits will sit out a bit more . on the lawns they sit above the warren then dive in . wich is great for ferreting but not so good for dog work. but either way its just nice to be out . the ones i dug ranged from 4 - 6 ins the ones rambo did were up to about 2 foot the dog is 3/4 whipp/grey 1/4 kelpie TOMO

been out today up the dales with Rambo. only managed 13 . 9 of them being dug. only 4 bolts , but its a real pleasure geting back out after being away so long. heres a few pics

same as evry one else mate , cant belive you havn't tried it . we had one on for sunday dinner , this last weekend. two cocks came down our back garden on wednesday whilst i was washing pots. nipped upstairs and got out the air arms air gun and shot one from the kitchen window then let it hang till sunday morning .
