  1. yes it can get like that , i well remember just having 1 fert in a money bag in one coat pocket, and a dozen nets in the other, travling nice and light. just now and then i still do this today
  2. why get her spayed, just keep her a way from dogs when she breaks down . remember it will be at least 1 week after she breaks down befor she becomes fertile. as for bitches coming in season , it can happen at any time from 6 month onwards, i have a bitch here thats 2 1/2 year old and still has never come in season. so dont be worrying about a bitch coming in season.
  3. why take the risk , just breed the siver ( if its a good worker) to an albino or a light coloured polcat there will still be some sivers in the litter
  4. like i said open park land , with warrens out in the open. as for loosing ferrets, dont wory , the problem is most folk today havent spent half an hour out in the darkness with out a lamp. belive you me its very light under the full moon
  5. wasn't there a thread on here about how those navara's engins all go bang after 000 miles
  6. i dont think splodge and fettle have had a litter together befor, but if you mean how has any pup from either parant turned out. i can answer that easy. I HAVE KNOW IDEA so supose its a stab in the dark as far as im concerned, how ever both parants have proved how good they were, so its stab in the dark in the right direction.
  7. i also have a pup out this litter, although its not here yet, will be picking it up next week
  8. fettle has just had her 3rd litter and is 8 year old, and there were only 4 pups. remember as dogs get older they usualy start to have smaller litters
  9. my mate has just got fettal hes gonna breed out of her.show us a pic of ya pup mate who is your mate caspa. fettle just had a litter 12 week ago. when does he plan to breed from her.

  11. use an old out of fasion one, or go to oxfam, charity shops, jumble sales. you may even be lucky enough to get a tweed one
  12. as for those army great coats, tried one years ago to big to heavy and to much flapping round your legs. hated it. but if it works for you thats all that matters
  13. we always used to wear an old siut jacket or sports jacket, buttons off ,replased with lases. the top left hand breast pocket had a slit cut in the bottom. then your pegs would just go in through there. and would just go down inside the linning , with a few inches sticking out so you can pull them out easy
  14. it was me that answered that other post about night time ferreting. all the young bucks were saying its no good , waste of time. of course easy to say when you have never done it. night ferreting has been going on for hundreds of years and aint sommat new that warrener did on his film or brinded wrote about in a mag . i have done it countless times in the past , and you can do it on those nights you would otherwise not be out, also done it in places where there is light polution, next to a power station was another faveroute, never used bells. get out there and give it a go
  15. maybe you should have put a better pic up , they say if you aint got somthing nice to say dont say owt. but, that dog dont ooz power in my mind . to be honest it looks rather thin around the back legs. like i say its probly a bad pic, and like i said on the previouse post , i have not against afgan crosses . i have herd of a few that can knock hares down no probs
  16. i have herd about a few afgan/grey cosses that have perfomed very well on the coursing field
  17. nice little walk there mate, and some good pics. she is a racey looking bitch.
  18. 60 traps for £20 feck me thats a good deal, they would probly be worth £600 , some of the other trap collectors on here , would give you a better indication of there worth
  19. i have to agree, i dont think £250 is a lot for a young dog thats already knows the ropes, good luck finding her a good working home
  20. THANKS JOHN B. AND I NOW REALISE ITS IN THE PINNED TOPICS

No there going to get fat on easy prey " mutton" and beef . there is know way this will work in our small over crowded island. even though some parts of scotland are remote, there not that romote , and there are always crofters and small villages not that far a way. a wolf is quite capable of travling 30 mile in a night. now i dowt weather there is a spot in the uk that farthe
